The fact that yesterday 247 already dropped him to OT3 would be my assumption. He may jump back up once the season starts but TBD at this point.

Supposedly, the rating services have "weekly" meetings to discuss recruits. And they suddenly found a reason to downgrade Jackson Cantwell and elevate other guys. But this "3-star" Ervin that literally everyone tells us should be a 4-star...is still just hanging out waiting for HIS reassessment...

It's impossible for these recruiting "experts" to rate everyone. There are just way too many players across the country to fairly evaluate.

That's a fair point.

I still think that guys who get offers from Division I-A programs should be rated. Maybe not the punters/kickers/long-snappers, but all the offense/defense position players should get a ranking.
