Again - none of this is rocket science with this team. There is nothing complicated about them that a normal fan can’t dissect.

Cam changed I would guess, 90% of the plays at the line of scrimmage is my guess. That’s how bad Mario and Shannon are at this offense thing. He made Dawson last year. I’ve been saying it since last year.

The coaching sucks!!!!! But since it’s not going anywhere (at least the head man) he either ******* stops being a hard headed moron or he will die off as coach here as a failure worse than Manny Diaz and Onion.

Lastly - “Let it Rip.” - the jokes write themselves - this will be used over and over as the joke when we laugh at Mario after the failures yet to come this year and beyond and D$ keeps writing/talking about how good they look in spring camp.

Yeah he is doing a great job at Ole Miss. Lane is a great coach. But he still won’t win unless he recruits at a high level. MAYBE YOU FORGOT HE COACHED AT TENNESSEE AND USC

I dont think he was ready for those jobs honestly.. You wont find a post of me selling Lane as HC til FAU.. But we talking about TODAY!!!

And schools have ceilings, Wit playoffs that can change some but he is doing things never done at Ole Miss before, to say he wont win unless he recruits at high level when he is elevating ole freaking miss is missing the point.

the ****** state of mississippi doesnt have a ton of elite player sh*t they barely have elgible hs......they share the state with miss state and they both have no history of winning literally anything, and neighboring sec schools that do

this was a pretty good year for miss elite players.

but generally the whole state has around the 70-75 range of players from 5 star to 2star that commmit to div 1 to fcs schools to d2 schools.

The state of florida on an avg year has about 250. The 240 ranked player in florida last year signed with Maryland.

miami has better recruiting base, brand, national exposure, historal winning. The only advantage ole miss has is coaching and being in the sec but they are a step kid there but they still get the sec bias off wins an losses and pre szn rankings lol
 
The “let it rip” idea is interesting though. The book on us is out, and as a result, we’ve created a narrative about ourselves that has stuck everywhere, including the CFP committee. We’re just bleeding out slowly like we always do.

So winning won’t be enough (assuming we can manage it). Enough to what? you ask, whatever goals you still believe are in front of us and change the narrative.

But just winning won’t cut it. We’re supposed to win.

Even winning big won’t help. Nobody respects any of our opponents. Even double digit wins won’t move the needle.

But if we were to switch it up, show some energy, and reinvent our offense at least some…and if we start scoring in bunches and look dangerous on O to go with a top 15-ish defense, then that could mean something. BTA and look DIFFERENT doing it. Phoenix from the ashes type ish.

In other words, kill who we’ve been. Unapologetically. We have to show up different on O.

That’s the only way. Actually let it rip.

Like I said he is a great coach. But he won’t ever take that next level until
He becomes a great recruiter. If he gets the job at LSU maybe he becomes that. And you have to be a great recruiter to consistently win big playoff type games. Although it takes more than just recruiting. Because James Franklin was a great recruiter too. But his teams didn’t always play like it. Lane issue is he also loses games every year that he shouldn’t. Look at Florida and Kentucky last year.

Throw the goddamned football when you have a 2nd and short, Shannon. For Christ’s ******* sake. Every time I watch more of our games or look at numbers it makes me more incensed. I could call better games than this dude in my sleep. The entire planet thinks you’re going to run the ball, you have the best pass-blocking line in America….do you know what ONE (1) play-action pass on 2nd and 2 could do?? Maybe you don’t, but can we find out at least?? Once?!

Slow boring offense, we are actually boring to watch. Whew we’re dominating ND ,Fla & FSU and he pulled in his horns and played caveman football
And almost lost to ND, Fla was a less than a yard away from converting a 4th down in our territory when score was 13-7, FSU came back when the M&M boys decided dive plays against an 8 man front would work
Some body needs to talk some sense into Super Mario………

This isn’t defending Mario because it’s his team and everything that happens with it is his responsibility. He’s got the most blame in this, period. But nobody in a billion years will convince me that the section on Dawson’s play-sheet for short-yardage has nothing but 13 personnel A-gap runs.

Not 13 for 13 in a single game. Never.
