Let me be perfectly clear I hate Al. He's incompetent, refuses to make adjustments, and has brought the program to one of it's lowest lows in years. However, I just don't see anyway he gets fired after this bowl game. He's shown everything there is to know about Al Golden up to this point and for some absurd reason, he is still employed by the University of Miami to ruin a bunch of talented kids football careers. With this all being said, I don't know if I should be rooting for a loss (while obviously rooting for the players) or rooting for a win. A loss would just absolutely dog pile the frustration of Miami fans, media, and former players right on Al's desk. It also theoretically puts us on the fast track for a new head coach sooner than later. Winning, on the other hand, gives a very limited boost in recruiting, but also allows Al another W on his Miami checklist. A bowl win at that. But a win also helps us maintain the Jordan Scarlett's, the Jaquan Johnson's, etc. These kids are blatant studs we can not afford to miss. It would also be nice to send Duke, Denzel, and Chickillo and the older boys out with a win. Should we be rooting for a win or rooting for a loss? What if we did win - the future coaching-wise, recruiting effect, general thoughts?
It'd probably be a little better for the future coaches sake if he actually had some real talent to work with.
