What do you see us doing differently this year, schematically?

The defense was fairly simple. It was exactly what we needed in year 1 of Heatherman based on the prior years disaster, short acclamation period and studs on the DL.

Next year, I am hoping to see us build on it and have a little more complexity. Particularly with the secondary. Indiana's defense actually reminded me of ours a bit but they did more with it on the back end. They did some interesting games up front as well but they can keep all that. We have the horses on the DL that they did not, better to just let those guys continue to run free and eat.

Same as usual, or do we tweak things to fit this year's personnel?
Why must you speak with forked tongue?

The ONLY answer:

MORE TUFFER AND MORE FYZICALER

On a serious note:
- How well will OL play?
- How well will Mensah be able to distribute the ball to Toney, Barkate, everyone else...yes, in that order...ego management?
-- More Air Mensah should provide relief to RB room...does everyone get enough touches?
-- Miami now understands they need to score 35+ each game just for playoff consideration/seeding narrative puproses...can Mario unleash his inner Ghengis Khan?

Don’t care what it looks like. The only thing that matters is mentality. You gotta keep that last 4 games of the regular season style. No more game control against teams worse than you. Blow them out and don’t take your foot off the gas.
I think people (not you) are going to be shocked at the talent gap between Beck and Mensah

Beck was solid. Missed a ton of big plays throughout the season and was very hesitant to push the ball downfield (and we saw why that was valid 🤦🏼‍♂️)

Not defending Dawson at all but it’s gonna look more like 2024 with an actual defense to back us up this time. We will probably (hopefully) see lower offensive numbers just from the lack of unnecessary shootouts with **** teams

20 and 10 personnel 90% of the time. Dawson is an Air Raid guy so he finally has the justification (no TEs worth playing over a WR, RB, or OL) to run the offense he wants. RPO out of pistol. I think it will be almost impossible to defend.

Will it look more like 2024? How much of that was Cam and the way he plays? We saw it again this year with Cam after Callahan got fired. Cam doing Cam things to make plays happen.

Mario likes to run the ball. That's not going away; especially with a room full of talent.

I think it will be interesting to see what kind of compromise Mario and Dawson come up with - I wouldn't be surprised to see an offense more like the one he ran with TVD before all the injuries and interceptions made it go sideways. The passing game will be more on point - especially the downfield game- with all those weapons but we will be able to run the ball better behind the OL and with better RB personnel.

Mensah isn't Cam. He's more like Cam than Beck but I don't see a full out Rhett Lashlee offense suddenly appearing...

I have said, I see us going back to more 12 personal with a healthy Carver. I expect Carver to be the big blocking TE in this formation. Lofton and Gilbert will be the chip, wham blocking TE's that bring mismatches in coverage. If them or (not counting on it) Mueller can get over in the seams, it is Cam (Arroyo )ugly stress for defense's with better WR's. I would love some 4 wide formations implemented with this deep WR room.

IMO... we will find out how LAZY or PUMP'd Dawson really is...... he has so many WR weapons and speed now that he can keep whatever core O he has, and add a ton of new things, using speed to our advantage... Toney should have his own chapter in the playbook with tons of variations and even using him as a decoy a lot... I'd build upon those jumbo OL sets with alternative misdirection plays...

Becks's arm was obviously compromised. The offense we saw last year was 100% based on what the QB was capable of executing. I mean, he couldn't even make a 45yd throw in the natty game. He has no steam behind a deep ball. He had a nice release and accurate in the intermediate throws but he has lost the fastball.

- if we’re in 11p I’d assume we’re playing Lofton as a sniffer, not in line TE. More insert, wham, iso, dart stuff.

- hopefully we go 10p, can still get what you want/need in the run game while spreading teams out horizontally pre snap (duo stack etc..)
