Wake coach: Pitt QB's fake slide a slippery slope
After his Wake Forest defense was victimized by a fake slide from Pitt quarterback Kenny Pickett, Demon Deacons coach Dave Clawson thinks the NCAA should outlaw such a move.www.espn.com
Clawson is a bit salty about it:
I think you play to the whistle, but I can see where penalties and injuries could result from if it became normal.
Agreed. Is there any real data showing fewer injuries for QBs since the slide rule started? Still seeing them being injured. They should be treated like any other player carrying the ball. RBs get injured also. It is a violent sport.Outlaw the slide.
It wouldn’t be targeting but it would be a personal foul. They need to make a rule that if ur fake slide ur automatically ruled down. Bc if they would’ve hit his *** on a slide it would’ve been targeting
If you are "injured", and you walk are the field on your power you should be out for at least a quarter, Hey player safety right?. Probably will make you reevaluate how hurt you arethey need to address play stopping fake injuries as well while they are at it. they sit out one play and right back in...... change the rules out for remainder of series on any injury stoppage or some figure more then one play. BPD is still laughing
