What are your real feelings for local players who used UM to reach their goals?

Amen. I have been saying this all day. I don’t post. I have posted 10 times today saying this. Stop recruiting them. If “the community” thinks you are a fraud, ostracize them. Turn the tables. Find other kids. I loved the term “Shadow player”.
 
Some kids like to go away from home. That’s okay.

We should get some kids to do that and come to Miami. Brad Kaaya types. Miami is a national brand. That national love isn’t leveraged well.

Back to Miami kids, I just don’t like a Miami kid leading us on that he is coming and then bailing. For them, JJ’s you can play for us or lose to us should be the attitude. No crying.
 
1. You consider a soft verbal worthless. As in, until they sign the paper they're not part of the program. Stop counting them as part of your numbers.

2. If you need say 2 DT's you recruit a minimum of 8. The first 2 to sign the papers gets in, the rest can **** off to redneck country.

3. Recruit the highly motivated 3* with the same energy as the 4*. Which means if a 3* is ready to commit and the 4* gives you a soft commit you take the 3*. I'd rather have a fully filled roster of motivated 3* players then some 4*'s yet holes in our depth chart.

4. Limit the visits. There is always drama in a locker room, even with championship teams. The issue is these locals see our laundry aired out they visit so much yet they don't see anything but the polish in places like Georgia and Bama when they finally go there.

5. Always keep room for 1-2 5* studs who will string along everyone, but don't count on them. At this moment we aren't in position to expect them. They are frosting, not the cake.

Facts

Its like last year never happened.......there will be an excuse though that we didnt beat Clemson......but UF and FSU can lose to the University of Afghanistan and they still close.

FSU has a fuqin purse and was a laughing stock and closed better.........so which is it wins or recruiting? hmmmmm? Only these rules apply to us for some reason.

Couldn’t agree more. I say instead of raising money for banners we raise funds for a billboard on I95 calling out the South Florida traitors on an annual basis.

Absolutely no reason to troll the U like that unless it’s for bags. Just like they say baywatch didn’t need to troll UM then neither do the local kids.
Ryques tape speaks for itself and everyone wanted him. Don’t have to be on campus like that. Total dock move. No way he was torn or split. Or making a tough decision.

I agree although we kind of did the 3 star thing with Brownlee and the scrub still peaced out.
 
What are my feelings?...nothing, coaches like our current HC do the same $h!t.

Difference is, at least with UF, that they'll fire a coach with the quickness, while our dumb *** administration gives b!tches like Fail Folden extensions after going 6-6 in His 1st year.

Exactly . Only Miami is looked at as a joke but FSU had a worse season than us two years in a row and lost to us two years in a row .

Florida can lose to fckin Ga Southern and only win 4 games but it’s always only Miami that has to “change the perception of the program” or some bs like that ,

This is why I stopped believing the winning heals all, I seen so much that contradicts that **** throughout the years. Thats a lie and a bunch of BS, people that think win in they will come dont know what there talking about. There too much evidence that fights that concept head on and beats it. Theres too many examples of the total opposite....hire a elite recruiting then win at a high level (titles)

For real. It’s the same as the rule about Miami not offering early enough yet these KKK schools offer at the last minute and flip recruits all the time. ****, Tyrique doesn’t even know who his DC will be. It’s time to call a spade a spade. These kids are leveraging UM offers for bags and have been doing it for quite some time. It’s time to start calling these punks out.

So you recruit 4 Brownlee types and don't consider their soft verbal anything. Pour your energy into all 4 and hopefully you get 1 to sign. Coaches should close at a 25% rate or you should be shown the door.

They all chose schools that were significantly better than us last year and this year. We won 10 games last year but the writing was on the wall. We showed a lot of incompetence last season. I was livid when Jobe spurned us. Guy I wanted us to land the most. From a recruits perspective which school would give them the best opportunity for development and success? It’s not us. At least not yet. We still landed elite recruits like Jordan, Lingard and Jade. Let’s beat Duke and Virginia first and then we can start *****in why we’re not locking up South Florida recruiting.
 
That’s a common theme so much that when we land a commitment from a high caliber kid I never even entertain it. Social media made recruiting rear it’s awful head. Kids are drama queens & just like OP said they use UM for notoriety & then dip.
