What are your real feelings for local players who used UM to reach their goals?

Get the players who want to be here, there are plenty of 4/5 stars not just in Sfla but in the US who want to be here, and plenty of legit 3 stars out there like Nunn, Doxpn who we slow played and wanted to be here.
 
It's the bag$. All about the bag$.

It would be great if recruits wouldn't string any program along (including UM) and they would take all of their visits first and then make a decision (and stick with it) but I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for that.

Also, in fairness to recruits some programs oversign and over-recruit and then leave certain recruits hanging at the last minute. You rarely hear about these stories but they do happen. In that context, you can understand that a recruit doesn't want to be completely "left in the cold" at the last minute (so they create & preserve a few options during the process).

Our recruiting does need to pick up.
 
I've already said enough about the kids and families/"mentors" but one group that doesn't take nearrrrly enough heat are the high school corches in Dade that not only allow these kids to play these games but seemingly are onboard with it.

So your telling me Akeem Dent went to fsu cause they were better last year and this year? Meanwhile we had a top 3 defense,.......................lol would never read this again.
I just proved your first sentence wrong, see how the contradiction works.....for every win now and they come there is an argument for the opposite side that says it aint about winning. Everything uguys come up with there a counter argument with facts and proof

I’m referring to the 3 guys mentioned. You can’t truthfully say that Miami is on the same level as Bama or UGA. We had a top defense last year and so did they. They’re playing for titles. We’re playing for Pinstripe Bowls. Those are facts. Then we get mad and wonder why we lose recruits to them. And sure 5 stars like Dent will go to down programs like FSU. After all, f-ckin Golden landed 5 stars like Thomas and Howard.

Ok fair enough good point, still we won 10 last year had great momentum turnover chain all that and still.

All these players were supported by this community, this town’s people since they played on peewee league and now they decide to turn their back to the city’s team and go play for our enemies.
We have to start doing something and let them know, so they can feel the same way we feel.

Nobody should be offended, this is a learning point for the University of Miami's Athletic Department "Drop Bags or Get Bagged".

So Dent a 5 star would rather play for who Taggart and his “big name” assistants ? Who fielded a top 5 defense and who didn’t ? Who got blown out **** near every ****** week ?

FACTS. But, most don't think logically in the recruiting scene.

It's been time for a change with our blue print. No other way to put it.

Agreed. "Just win" is a myth this board perpetuates. We blew out a top ranked Notre Dame last year on Game Day while we hosted ESPN. Whatever. Richt can recruit out of Athens but not Coral Gables after a 10 win season? OK... makes perfect sense.
 
What I hate is another year of solid commits from all world recruits Twitter comments with Canes gear on dancing.
Knowing in the back of my HUGE DESK mind is BLASTING the dancing is knowing the word is out now for the auction to begin knowing you at-lest have Canes as backup plan

I knew we were in trouble with Mork when he couldn't convince none of his blue chip uga kids to follow him to UM...
 
I'm from Cincy, Ohio and I grew up a Cane back when they used to from up here in the 80s and beat up on my uncle's & Urban Liars UC Bearcat teams. I feel for all Canes fans who sees that much talent leaving that area because it's a gold mine and all these oil owners are helping these teams pluck who they want out of that area. It's sad but a reality, what needs to happen is just go back to getting all diehard Canes that are hard working 2 and 3 stars build that back up like that 80s. Miami greats was never 5 star players they just were hardworking, aggressive muthas that didnt take sh** from know one. The players were coaches and held their teammates accountable that's the missing piece. We will be back sooner than later, mark my words! Go Canes!
