What an incredible day

Crazy. Still can't believe the let us in. The **** they were talking felt like they were voting on a popularity contest & not a cfp. Hope is apart of my DNA but I'd rather know than believe.

Glad we're here but the job's not done. Carson has a chance to massively improve his stock the way CJ stroud did in a loss against Georgia. Bain can cement himself as the top defensive prospect going against real comp. Heatherman. Dawson. Leave no doubt. Mario has had these guys ready to play big games so I'm confident we'll perform to that standard.

Tamu is literally the worst draw with Keionte Scott out. But this team has been next man up so my hope is solid.

Thank God. It has been a long time coming. These kids for sure deserve it but so do we. All of these years of disappointment and unreal mismanagement is finally behind us. We may not win the title but we are competing for it and that feels great!

Fock that! I'm hanging a banner! Our biggest accomplishment since 2001.... 24 freaking yrs ago!!!
Disagree in that we won the Big East in 2002-03, the Orange Bowl in '03, and played for the title in '02.

Win even one game and I will agree wholeheartedly.

Awesome post OP.
Thank you for putting in into words.

This program has been so maligned over the years for kicking everyone’s *** back in the day that at times it felt like we’re were almost cursed.
It’s nice to finally catch a break.

Happy for everyone. Jessica Cristobal posted a screenshot of Mario calling her- she was in church and had to go out. He was obviously so happy, yelling etc. and she started crying. Happy for them all- the family is a big part of it.

That’s awesome. This dude is making $8 million a year. I’m never gonna feel sorry for them. But at the end of the day, it’s still a family and they make insane sacrifices for coaches to do what they love. Especially that absolute ******* cyborg. I’m surprised he hasn’t turned into a piece of furniture in the office at this point. So, good for them. Gotta be pretty ****** to put that much effort into something and come up short. Glad to see him seeing some fruits of the labor.

That's what a lot of sports fans don't get (mostly because they are low character to begin with). The families are more invested than we are in all of this. It's literally their lives.

I’m just so **** happy, man.

Happy for Mario. Say what you want about the guy, but he is the definition of a Miami Hurricane. Look, nobody is bigger than the program. I don’t care if Jesus H Christ was the coach here, it’s win or GTFO. And Mario has done plenty to earn criticism the past few years. But this dude is US. He’s a Miami kid, through and through, and you cannot love nor appreciate all this program is more than him. It’s been a long 20+ years, and we’re not hanging a banner for what we did today, but it’s just so nice to have real, tangible progress and success. This is a big achievement when you think about how absolutely comical this program has been from the top down for a long, long time. Knowing him, he took about 7 seconds to smile and cheer, and he’s back to work. We have work to do. But I’m happy for him.

But even more, I’m happy for us. **** a committee, a ranking, a game control metric…this is one of the best teams in America. End of story. And I was so depressed thinking the Pitt game was going to be the last time we saw these kids play football here. It’s weird…when you have a REALLY good football team, it’s super rare that the last time you get to watch it, they play their best game, but you don’t win anything. Right? It always ends with a championship, or a loss. But we threw Pitt around like ragdolls, all sat and said to ourselves and friends that **** we got a good team…and then that’s it? Just really weird. So I am so excited we get to watch 4 out there again. And 3. And 61. TRUE CANES WHO CAME HERE WHEN WE SUCKED ***. Maybe it’s just for 1 more game. Who knows? But we get to watch these boys go out there again and show what they got. And they absolutely deserve it. This is a **** good football team. It was really good last year. It’s even better this year. Go show the world what we all know.

Just really happy today, boys and girls. Happy for the staff, happy for the kids, and happy for us.

Go Canes.
Amen brother

I am so happy that this team earned the opportunity to continue their season. Can’t wait for December 20th

I posted a few days ago that we're likely to never have a more passionate and loyal HC than Mario. Happy for him, his staff, the players, and us fans. Long, long time in the making.
