What an incredible day

My wife was in the other room and then I started yelling and she knew it wasn’t the Formula 1 race I was watching on replay because I slept in and missed the live race.

She saw the TV and even she, who’s an alum of LSU and pretty much threw it in my face for the 21 years we’ve been married, understood the moment because she sat with me in the West End Zone at the Orange Bowl early in our marriage when I saw before our eyes the program getting worse and worse.

I put in for tickets so I hope I get them so I can take my son in a few weeks to Texas A&M game.

Happy for us miserable ***** of Cane fans. On my way to do the groceries today (I volunteered to do it on my own this time) I shed a tear of happiness in my 5 minute drive to the Publix for the moment.

We earned this opportunity!!

******* poetry, sir. 🫡

Also, and almost as important, let’s never lose sight of this:

Your fsu and gator friends are MISERABLE today. Just absolute morgues for programs, and Mario has stacked back to back 10 win seasons and a playoff berth.

FSU hasnt been in the playoffs since 2014 and are 7-17 the last 2 seasons. They haven’t made a bowl game in 2 years.

UiF is 11-13 the last 2 years and have never made the playoffs. Absolute shambles.

Miami has the better past. Fact.

Miami has the better present. Fact.

Miami has the better future. Fact.

Let those ******* stew and hate watch in 2 weeks.

This is amazing

I didn’t see the actual show. I had some travel today

Got a text from my mom who is in her 70s telling me Miami was in and she was crying

****ed me all up in the best way possible

Was just such a weird feeling watching us beat the everloving **** out of everyone for the last 3.5 games and then thinking…..that’s it? We just did things to Narduzzi that should be illegal and we all just go home and get ready for some **** bowl that half the team won’t play in? Bizarre, honestly.

Just so excited to see the whole squad go out there and LET IT RIP at least one more time.
Yeah those last 4 games really tells alot

It’s the lines. A lot of us have said it since the spring. It’s almost impossible to be bad when you’re this good on the offensive and defensive lines.

I feel like Justin Scott has really turned a corner the 2nd half of season. Moten has legit NFL talent. And now we get Blay back. OJ should be back. Wes was banged up late in the year, he should be fully healthy by the time we play. Thomas obviously had his bruises. If we can get Keionte Scott back and 100%, I expect this defense to give us a chance to win against ANYBODY.
mario said all are back and K Scott was running yesterday and although running and playing are vastly different, he thinks Scott will be ready

The silver lining to the injuries

Blay went down and Scott stepped up. Moten as well.

Scott and Thomas went down and Poyser really really stepped up

OJ went down and O’Connor stepped up

I know our LBs are rough and OSU/Indiana have great defenses but I wouldn’t trade ours at full health for anyone

There was nothing like seeing that orange and green U come up when they did the announcement. Quite surreal actually. No one thought they would actually do it. All I could do was yell.

Look, as a die hard Cane, I can stand up and say I've gave Mario lots of **** ( just a passionate fan), I've been the one that said we should've went Kiffin, Mario is a duche blah blah blah, but without a doubt Mario is a true Cane, and I can admit he's done something here that has not been done since I was a teenager (I'm 39) he has won 10 games back to back and we look like a championship contender for the first time since the early 2000's a real championship contender not the fake turnover chain wanna be old school Miami. I'm proud of my team, let's see if we can reel off a win in College Station, GO CANES!!

That’s awesome. This dude is making $8 million a year. I’m never gonna feel sorry for them. But at the end of the day, it’s still a family and they make insane sacrifices for coaches to do what they love. Especially that absolute ******* cyborg. I’m surprised he hasn’t turned into a piece of furniture in the office at this point. So, good for them. Gotta be pretty ****** to put that much effort into something and come up short. Glad to see him seeing some fruits of the labor.
I watched Mario’s interview yesterday on the ACC Network and his tv in the background was already paused on an A&M game. Dude had gotten to work immediately, and I was so proud. He had the biggest smile on his face and was clearly living his dream.

They also asked him how many unread texts he had, and he laughed and said over 9800, and that’s why his family doesn’t like him. 🤣

9800?!

I know! The Taylor FSU woman said she was going to text him congratulations but figured he was getting a million texts, so asked how many unread texts he had today (yesterday). He said he didn’t know but he had 9800-something (I forget the exact number) total. And made the comment about his family.

Eric Mac Lane said that the way to get a hold of him is through FaceTime, and he’ll always answer that so now she knows to do that and not text. 🤣

I’m just so **** happy, man.

Happy for Mario. Say what you want about the guy, but he is the definition of a Miami Hurricane. Look, nobody is bigger than the program. I don’t care if Jesus H Christ was the coach here, it’s win or GTFO. And Mario has done plenty to earn criticism the past few years. But this dude is US. He’s a Miami kid, through and through, and you cannot love nor appreciate all this program is more than him. It’s been a long 20+ years, and we’re not hanging a banner for what we did today, but it’s just so nice to have real, tangible progress and success. This is a big achievement when you think about how absolutely comical this program has been from the top down for a long, long time. Knowing him, he took about 7 seconds to smile and cheer, and he’s back to work. We have work to do. But I’m happy for him.

But even more, I’m happy for us. **** a committee, a ranking, a game control metric…this is one of the best teams in America. End of story. And I was so depressed thinking the Pitt game was going to be the last time we saw these kids play football here. It’s weird…when you have a REALLY good football team, it’s super rare that the last time you get to watch it, they play their best game, but you don’t win anything. Right? It always ends with a championship, or a loss. But we threw Pitt around like ragdolls, all sat and said to ourselves and friends that **** we got a good team…and then that’s it? Just really weird. So I am so excited we get to watch 4 out there again. And 3. And 61. TRUE CANES WHO CAME HERE WHEN WE SUCKED ***. Maybe it’s just for 1 more game. Who knows? But we get to watch these boys go out there again and show what they got. And they absolutely deserve it. This is a **** good football team. It was really good last year. It’s even better this year. Go show the world what we all know.

Just really happy today, boys and girls. Happy for the staff, happy for the kids, and happy for us.

Go Canes.
Great post OP
