no offense, but his team did beat us...and while Porter gave them a victory in OT in that Nat'l Title game, the fact is on paper we were 10x better than OSU and they had us on the ropes all game. He's a good coach, no lie.

Not totally. What people forget to realize (and yes, I acknowledge, our team had the talent advantage) was that OSU had a lot of NFL talent on that team, especially on defense. Their entire starting lineup on D got drafted - most of them in the first 3 rounds. And, that's not even mentioning a few first rounders that were backups at the time.

Totally agree with you, but do you recall how many of those guys are still in the league or made an impact compared to that 2003 draft class of ours? Most of those guys who made it to the league on the O and D from OSU flopped in the NFL. While Vilma, Williams, Rolle, the late great Taylor, McGahee, Johnson, Parrish, Winslow II, Joseph, Wilfork, McDougle, McIntosh...etc, etc, etc not only made it to the league, they all made multiple pro bowls and wrecked shop. Tressel coached dem boys up and they overachieved and won. Tressel here w/ true Miami talent, OMG....we would probably never lose a game under his guidance. Our D would be top 4 every year and our O would be top 5. The man can coach, and he carries just enough dirt to get us the right type of guys, too. lol.
