Brashard Smiff with a big TD run in OT…Pure Mario
I'm not. You’re really going out of your way to speak for everyone
Go ahead
haha IDGAF 16-0
It didn't help Cam overthrowing his receivers tonight. They didn’t do anything at all that they haven't been doing the first 6 weeks of the season.
TD's turned to FG's because we played with no Tempo/pace & the rhythm of the passing offense was off, because we too busy trying to pound it into the ground.
The OL was getting beat quite often on passing downs because downs were made obvious. When the Defense knows what you're going to do, it makes it easier to disrupt. We pretty much telegraphed every sequence of our passing plays because we had no choice on down & distance.
The only difference is, that due to the fact we made it clear what our intentions were, there was no unpredictability factor that would make their DB's drop back into Zone. The played Man, because they didn't need to play any other coverage.
Just saw that. Manny responds though lol.Brashard Smiff with a big TD run in OT…
He had 2 legitimate ovethrows. It didn't help Cam overthrowing his receivers tonight.
I mean good for Manny for going for the winJust saw that. Manny responds though lol.
Damien Martinez was full grownI'll raise my hand.
Call me old fashioned, but I love beating our rivals by three scores. I love watching them lay down on the last Martinez TD because they're beaten down. I love dominant running games, because I've watched college football in January for the past 20 years.
This is not a perfect team. But that was a very encouraging and physically dominant performance that FSU will feel for the next month.
Yep I agree with how bad the secondary is this DL which is well funded needs to get home a lot more. Barrow and Bain are the best DL we have but need more from guys like Alston, Baron, the other DT’s.Major concerns for me with the pass rush tbh
I know people are saying hey just rush 4 and help the secondary out but other than Barrow we really aren’t getting much from those guys
Cam didn't have his best night. So many of his screens have been behind for a good clip - he never allows his receivers to catch in stride, too many times they're going backwards to catch. His bread and butter is his intermediate routes IMO.He had 2 legitimate ovethrows.
Horton had 2 drops, Restrepo & JGeorge also had drops.
Plus he was under duress for the majority of the game because the OL was getting beat on inside moves.
I'll raise my hand.

Yeah I don’t want to speak for the coaches but the way we loaded up up front thought maybe they felt it could mask the problems in the secondaryYep I agree with how bad the secondary is this DL which is well funded needs to get home a lot more. I think its unfair to just chalk the oline getting beat on passing downs because they were obvious passing downs. Literally all year its been obvious passing downs and they protected better, alot of our offense is telegraphed. Thats been one of my gripes with dawsonThey didn’t do anything at all that they haven't been doing the first 6 weeks of the season.

I'll put it like this...I think its unfair to just chalk the oline getting beat on passing downs because they were obvious passing downs. Literally all year its been obvious passing downs and they protected better, alot of our offense is telegraphed. Thats been one of my gripes with dawson
I thought cam was getting sped up by the pressure, a few times he would just run into a sack. We had 35 pass attempts, thats more than enough to get in rhythm but a combination of fsu getting pressure, cam not handling pressure well by dropping his eyes too often not being on schedule, our receivers not getting separation consistently.
Dawson not having better man coverage beaters, it seems like they knew what concepts they would get from us if they sat in man and they took them away.
Fsu weakness on defense is their run defense so it was smart to pound it this game, good to have multiple ways to win even if its ugly. Dawson just struggles with marrying the pass and run game together, we came out with some nice rpos but them pressing took that away..Should have had more play action and different rpos to leverage the run game but i don’t have any worries about the offense for regular season play they have earned the benefit of the doubt
Yeah like lemme be realSometimes I have to remember most people on here have about 2% knowledge of football as a whole, and are fans seeing the game as fans.
Enjoy the win, we’re freaking 8-0…but man if you weren’t even mildly concerned watching this OL pass block and our receivers fail to get separation…yeesh.
Kudos to Mario for going for it repeatedly on 4th and 1, I actually loved it.
That was the second-worst offense we’ll face all season. Next week will be the worst. Hopefully the defense can build on it and our pass rush can get home a bit more.
