KP was very close to coming to Miami the first go around but had just signed a big contract with NC State.

He and his wife are from South FL (WPB) so he took the FAU job to get back to SFLA and to hopefully end up back at Miami.

NC State had a bad defense and he had very young guys on the DL so NC State parted ways with the DC and the new DC brought in new coaches.

I’ll just say this... supposedly McGriff was really interested in coming to Miami and they reached out and we made no contact whatsoever. My friend said the agents in the firm were baffled at that. The feeling is Manny already has his guy. The only explanation for that.

That means the 2 clients they had that could have fit are gonna be 0/2 at Miami. The DL coach is not interested.

And someone reached out to me on Twitter to say he heard they’re hiring DVD. I have no reason to believe him but I have no idea. Just some guy on twitter but the timing would be perfect. Got me In a bad mood

If this is the case then Manny can go ahead and schedule the movers for December this year. Absolute joke if so.
 
If Manny hires DVD to replace Mike then we upgrade recruiting slightly - DVD was already on staff and doing a lot of the heavy lifting with recruits especially South Florida recruits - and we downgrade on coaching because DVD is too inexperienced to land a P5 coaching. Dumb move (if true).

Just saying... Earl Little isn’t letting his son get coached by Demarcus Van Dyke. Rumph was one thing. This would be a step down in terms of the coach.

People gonna say he played in the NFL or whatever and he should be able to coach... but that’s a dude that was only there as long as he was because of a time on a stop watch.

Yeah and given that he wasn’t announced to Utah State with the others leaves me to believe that bc he wouldn’t turn down a CB job with Banda to stay at Miami in an off field role. That also leads me to believe that Manny’s trying to get a DC to take the job with his boys in it, and/or let the DC decide who to keep. Otherwise, he’s hiring DVD at Corner, and keeping Patke and Baker as position coaches positions and bringing in a DL coach. We will end up worse than we are losing Stroud and Banda as recruiters. DVD was already here recruiting so he stays in an upgraded role replacing Rumph. I have no information, this is only speculation based on seeing pieces move on or get moved on from while other pieces are just lingering around. We just have to see how it all finishes.

Again, I'm not mad, just sickened by it. The nausea will pass and then my emotional investment in the Canes will drop down to where it is with the Fins. I remember when I was about 14 when Pete Stoyanvich missed a FG that kept the Fins out of the AFC championship game. I cried like a baby. In 2002, when Miami got screwed by Ohio State, I was in a really bad mood for a week and it probably led to the demise of a long term relationship as I was unpleasant to be around. Obviously not healthy to be that invested in football, but it hurt. This year I didn't realize that the Fins missed the playoffs until a friend told me about it. That's where I'm going to be with the Canes if this goes down as some are alluding to. I thought Diaz was smarter than that and cared about winning more. Sucks because I just bought the premium package for CIS and I won't be making use of it. Maybe the maudes will let me gift it to someone else.
