Yep, just like before. Team stacked with NFL first rounders, competent coaching.Butch Davis would be a horrible hire.

And what did we do? Hired an old man chasing past ghosts of greatness with a 30 year old offense....Pray that they help turn Miami into a powerhouse once again, not an old man chasing past ghosts of greatness.
It's UM coach, not red herring coach
This school
Nothing at UM, only team we real fans care about. You?What has he done since that game, almost 18 years ago?
What is a real fan?Nothing at UM, only team we real fans care about. You?
Built AT Miami0-2 vs East Carolina AT Miami.
Yes, that too. 11-1, robbed by NCAA. It's a UM thing, you wouldn't understandAT Miami.
Controversies
Despite beating the Number 1/2 ranked football teams during the 2000 season and losing only 1 game, the BCS computer model (which chose the two finalist for the NCAA college football season) chose FSU ahead of University of Miami to play in the National Championship game. The BCS computer model was solely based on Washington Huskies final ranking and amount of loss point differential despite Miami beating FSU. Most college football pundits felt the BCS model was wrong since in head to head meeting Miami beat FSU. This season was one of the deciding factors in ultimately doing away with the BCS computer only model for choosing the National Championship teams.
You wouldn't know as a 1999-2002 UM team haterWhat is a real fan?
You have to look across SFL to pick on a coach that you are not fond of! Why look over the one in your back yard! In fact the one that is farting in your face is a hellava lot worse than the one you so cleverly chose to pick on.The Church of Butch Davis followers have made the Golden Girls look tame by comparison. Good God get a hold of yourselves. I've never seen a group of people delude themselves this much. It's like one giant fish story that continues growing more exaggerated as they try to outmatch each other. The mythical tale of Butch Davis has reached hilarious levels.
Listen, if we strike out on established and accomplished college football coaches that have roamed a sideline within the last 5 years, I'm all for falling back on Butch Davis. But the delusional party tearing down more accomplished candidates to champion upright cadaver Butch Davis has reached satirical levels. I can't even tell who's joking and who's trying to outdo fellow members of the Church of Butch Davis anymore.
This reminds me of Florida fans demanding Steve Spurrier's return in 2005. They wanted to recapture the glory years and go with the familiar name. They were drunk off nostalgia and couldn't see straight. Luckily for them, their AD hired Urban Meyer and that "****amamie Mickey Mouse offense" of his, and he ran over the SEC and college football. 11 wins a year and 2 National Championships later, those fans dying to recapture the past and lacking the ability to adapt with the times and evolve are glad they were overruled by logic.
As you Butch Davis parishioners sit outside on the porch tonight, taking turns shouting "in my day!..." and clamoring for leather helmets and a "pro style offense," pray to your freckled God that men with more vision and foresight than you take control of this hire. Pray that they help turn Miami into a powerhouse once again, not an old man chasing past ghosts of greatness.
I've followed UM football for 30+ years. You wouldn't know as a 1999-2002 UM team hater
Much like I've enjoyed toying with insects since childhood.I'm just here to bait the BoRtch Bois.
