do you believe that will be the case a year and a half from now?

I suspect even next year nearly half the roster will be different

RIP to the best regular season in sports.

Now games like OSU/Michigan last week mean nothing. Sad to see.
I know what you mean, however

It has been going that way for a while now. Didnt Bama get in the playoff one year with out even winning the SEC? It was only a matter of time. One could say that the osu v mich game this year meant nothing, IF USC or TCU lose. Guess who gets in/ Ohio St, and if not them? 2 lose Alabama?

It's just better this way.

This is great

now we can watch 4 loss SEC teams in the playoffs
What’s the difference? Before last weeks games, they were talking about them possibly getting 75% of the playoff spots this year. Until teams from other conferences start winning their fair share in the OOC head to head matchups, the narrative is gonna always be the same. That the $EC is king, right now.

I'm down with more teams. I hate seeing some of the mid major teams have great years and bounced out for some 1 or 2 loss power 5 team. While they likely won't win the playoff, they deserve the chance.

Football is clearly different then basketball, but March Madness is the greatest spectacle in all of sporting post season with US sports IMO. Maybe one day there's a Cinderella type story in football.
