This site is cool because it’s a community for Canes fans.

There are some really high level contributors who bring in scoops about commits or how people are performing that we normally wouldn’t have access to. Others that watch a ton of film and break the game down which is also awesome.

There are guys who don’t do that stuff but just by being here and joking around make the community better and more fun to be a part of.

Some people bring the community down though when they unnecessarily trash our current or former players.

Have some respect for the guys wearing orange and green even if you’ve seen better or wish they were better. That’s all I’m saying

It is obvious that Flagg is not that fast or athletic. But he is our LB who coaches think is the best to start NOW.
Knowing that and knowing he is a cane who is a leader, who is doing his best to help us win games why keep bad mouthing him every chance we get? If and when someone else emerges as a better option fans will see it in games. Until then just respect the young man for what he is trying to do. After all he didn't insert himself in the lineup. The coaches did.

I think some folks are overreacting to last weeks game defensively. There was a bunch of gap integrity breakdowns, losing contain on scrambles / cutbacks.

There was also issues in the secondary, Ivey taking the awful angle on the drag route allowed a first down. There’s no way a mesh concept gets a third and 23. You give up a catch in front of the coverage and make the tackle. Not only did he take a bad angle , trip over his feet he took out another defender trying to make a play. I know it’s cliche to pick on 8 but at this point the staff is at fault if they keep throwing him out there , especially if this trend continues. He’s not starting himself.

I'm concerned about Ivey's side of the field defensively. I know it's just the first game but....hopefully it will get better. Do we have any young stud cbs behind him?

4.7 and 4.9 is night and day difference by itself. One was an All Acc Lb and very highly respected around Cfb. A four year starter who was a really good college player. One of the most instinctual players ever at Miami. He just wasn’t a Dan Morgan , Vilma or Ray type athlete so you **** on him as a player. You literally put him and Flagg in the same sentence. Some of y’all say stupid *** **** in passing because most people just ignore it at this point.

Flagg is Glenn Cook and Romeo Davis reincarnated. Amazing this has went on year after year after Spence, Perryman, and Shaq all played here. As ****** as our staff's have been, we've had good linebackers. It shouldn't be that hard to recruit there. Manny really dropped the ball.
