We will never win big with this run scheme

No this isn't a reaction to this game. I've been pounding this last year and earlier this year too. Game Ain't Based On Simple. Well our run scheme is as simple as it gets and it's too easy for teams to defend.
Yeah Mario just simply thinks we are going to over power teams no scheme needed.

I mean duh..? But Mario legitimately thinks running is about “whipping the guy in front of you” instead of scheming and timing. He fundamentally does not believe in what Louisville does
This is my biggest concern with Mario. You can’t bully everyone in this game. This is 2 games in a row an inferior defense stopped our running game because everyone knows what we are going to do. Meanwhile, Louisville’s scheme gives their offense a chance despite a ****** OL.

Not sure I’ve ever seen a team just absolutely disregard their run scheme like this and say we’re going to run HB dive all game even if it is not working. Not even at the high school level.

The tempo of it seems to slow too

And he will never change sadly. Not to mention our fascination with running duo/wham/IZ out of condensed looks to make sure we are at a significant numbers disadvantage as well

Mario and media people are going to focus on Beck’s interceptions, but the root is the lack of creativity in the run game that hurts us most.
Hope the coaches take a long look at their philosphy, but we don’t have another bye week, so not sure how realistic to think any changes coming.

Also, this game put a major spotlight on lack of production/targets/impact of the 3rd WR and TE. Might want to give Jojo or Moore another look as a #3 wr and maybe give some of the freshman TEs a shot to stretch the field a bit.
Not having a bye week is a good thing for this ******* staff

Miami rushed for the fewest yards against Louisville of any team this season including their patsy teams

Frustrating to watch Louisville run schemes give their backs a lot of space to run while our run scheme takes place in a phone both. Yes Beck was awful. So was our run game.

Same here

We lead the nation in runs between the guards.

If you criticize it, some will say…tight splits bro..it prevents negative plays bro. You must not know football.

The run game has no imagination…. It’s been run it up the gut, muscle ball nonsense for the last few seasons.

Now we have no run game and a limited vertical passsing game.

And we’ll probably miss Charlotte again.

Go look at GT’s and UVA’s remaining ACC schedule.

Go ‘Canes

But the rest of the season looks bleak…and we’ll get to see more and more runs between the guards that go for 1-3 yards. Enjoy those tight splits

It’s weird because at Oregon, their run game was far more creative. Is it Mario? Mirabal? Dawson? Idk but this ain’t it.

Expect attendance to be under 25k for stanford, and these ***** deserve even less
I was there tonight. The crowd showed up. We did our part. Unfortunately the team didn’t. I think much less people will be going to the rest of the home games. This was probably my last one for the season. It’s the same old story just another season.

We dont really have a 'scheme'. We just try to push the pile. That's not a scheme.

No counters, no pulls.... just pushing the pile

Its not just our scheme.. how are we offsides sooo many time.. at home

Its just lazy. They have calls on the line for snap counts. You see players makimg dummy Mike calls all the time just to get the snap count.

Our OL was completely dogsh*t today.
Our o-line is very much overrated. They have never been good at run blocking under Mario here. Pass blocking yes they are good. I don’t think it’s a talent issue. It’s a scheme issue.

Wasting an elite OL and a very good RB room. 2 weeks in a row defenses are loading 6 in the box and safeties are crashing down. Yet we just try to run the A gap. 2 outside runs went for about 20 yards (the jet sweep to Toney and the run by Brown that was negated by the hold on Fletcher). Instead well just go back to the A gap.

OL is elite. Game plan sucks. You could have the 1980’s redskins OL but if you just run A gap dives with the defense lined up to stop it you’re not gonna be successful.

Such a weird fanbase that refuses to blame players. Beck lost us the game.
Beck’s 4 picks go hand in hand with game plan. Even in our wins, Dawson’s moronic and conservative game plan’s made our victories closer than they should have been. Many of us have seen this coming. Running for 63 is just as much on Dawson as it is on players, as well.
