We will never win big with this run scheme

Wow!

Well, I disagree. They definitely showed up against ND.. and UF.. and FSU.

Yesterday, collectively, they had a bad game
Incase you haven’t noticed yet, Aside from Notre Dame (which was much closer than it should have been) UF and FSU are dumpster fires. And did they really show up against FSU? as I remember they couldn’t run against them at all.

Let's move Mario to general manager and hire Brohm as coach/play caller. And get Mirabal's grubby chihuahua paws off the run calls

Can’t both be true? Beck looked like TVD all over again and Dawson did nothing to help him and our run game. I’m not letting Dawson off the hook. This has been the case all season long.
Cam covered up a lot. He may have caused some of his own problems but he also created positive plays more often than not. It was obvious all the audibles he called

No, but against FSU, our OL gave Beck enough time to throw 4 TDs. Our OL also closed out the game for us. The coaching staff decided to end fhe game in the 3rd but we did do enough to take time off the clock.

UF, as a team, may be having a disappointment season, but their Defense has been really good. A&M was really there only poor outting and that same defense was the reason that A&M game, and ours, were remotely close

If you feel our OL has been trash all season.. cool. Buddy im not trying to change your mind. I just think we had a really bad game

Also, seeing how Beck can perform under pressure, are you sure some of our games aren't supposed to be ' closer than they should be'? UL is a clear example. I cant care what anyone says, we weren't winning by 14. I felt that way coming into the game

Clearly, the staff has a plan to slow things down once we get a comfortable lead. Its happened in just about every game. We didn't see that last year with Cam! I think Dawson is adjusting to some of Becks 'limitations' and understands he can quickly have highs and lows. I dont think we'll see him sling it around if we're up by a couple TDs. Last year, it was a different story

We had under 100 yards vs fsu avg 3 yards a rush..

Fans have fallen in love with dog pile offense but unless you are explosive in pass game it starts to look like crap, we get no explosive runs, no running lanes.. The running lanes are dam near non existent now

Yes, but this was FSUs strategy. Thats why we opened up the pass and threw 4 TDs. Just about the entire nation was praising us for being able to prove we could pass, when other teams focus on our run game

Jesus, some of you guys are worse then woman. We had a bad game

Every single game this year hasn't been bad

I’ve distanced myself from the program because it’s just so boring in general and I’m disinterested. I sell my tickets every week now with no interest in going. I’ve ended up buying them last minute for ND and UF just telling myself I’ll regret it not going.

Idk if it’s the style of football we play or if it’s just been too long and it’s all faded for me. Or it’s just how it goes getting in my 30s with 2 kids and important **** to do.

**** like tonight just has it on a rapid decline for me. Same thing happened with me and the Cardinals. Used to watch 130+ games a year and then they let all of their stars go or retire and didn’t have new ones coming up. Play boring baseball. Haven’t watched a pitch in 3 years now.
So disinterested that you log on to a message board to post about it…

The run game is not that good is the point. Every team is gonna take it away and dare beck to beat us with zone behind it. All we do is run up the middle with no explosiveness in run game. You can keep you insults to yourself and just talk ball

Yep …whoever we play doesn’t have to worry at all about setting the edge because we never try it.

People forget against UF we ran off tackle quite a bit which opened up the inside. We ran off tackle 2x last night. One time for 6 and then Toney for 12. To make matters worse we kept trying the bubble screen even though they had numbers against it.

I apologize. The board is insufferable after a lose..

Our run scheme and our run game are two separate things.

Our scheme is meant for BALL CONTROL. Mario wants to 'pound the rock' and wear down a defense. We see this when we are 'pushing the pile'. Im not saying I agree. Im just stating a fact

Our run game is the actual production. And, while we aren't averaging 9 ypc, I do think we've had some production. But, eventually, teams will adjust and bring a safety down for run support. We saw FSU do this with Little (#0). This is why the flea flicker was a perfect call

I dont expect us to have explosiveness gashes like we saw Issac Brown do to us also night. Maybe, that's why I don't see our run game as being disappointing all season. I expect us the get 4-7 a carry and work our way downfield. And, I only expect this from watching previous games and trying to understand our gameplan.

See how often I used to post vs now. But I’m talking about interest in going to games and being excited in general. Posting here has nothing to do with it.

It’ll probably fall off to nothing this week as I make one last trip to hard rock for sorry *** Stanford and see how it goes.

There were wide open receivers often enough. Don't throw the ball to the other team. It really isn't that hard. Beck ****ed up bigly. All he had to do was be something other than historically atrocious and we win.

Wide open receivers are what you see. Yet you dont take into account the fact that the game isnt played like that.

QBs are COACHED to throw certain balls against certain looks. So if a QB diagnoses a 2 high safety Cover 3 look hes gonna throw the ball hes COACHED TO THROW. Yet, the defense could roll to Cover 1 and drop a safety post snap. Which in turn is gonna bait the QB into an interception or make him indecisive.

So expecting the QB to just find the open guy and make a strike because that's what you see in TV and not expecting the coach to adjust to what the DC is throwing at his QB is just criminal and its silly tbh. Reel in the game and adjust.

Our rushing yards per game is like 80th in country and per carry is wayyy down compared to last year We are even worse.. Maybe 90th per carry as a "running offense" this season. That is BEFORE last night, when numbers are updated I am sure it will be posted but most will ignore because they excited about a couple dog pile pushes from Game #1.

They were all over the wr screen all game. Their dbs did an awesome job of fighting through blocks to blow it up. They were ready for it.
