We were confident for a reason

It's so refreshing to walk around up here with my Canes gear on. No one says anything to me and I don't say anything to them, but the smirk that has been etched on my face since we humbled them says it all. It's 20ish degrees up here, but it feels heavenly rn.
I was at the mall here in New Jersey yesterday with my Canes Starter jacket on (the one 2 Live Crew popularized) and my wife told me some guy was giving me a death stare as he walked by us. But he knew not to say shït. Must be a Buckeye, oh well.

Mario owns Ryan Day. He did the same thing at the horseshoe a couple years back with that school on the west coast. Day had CJ Stroud and a host of NFL players on that roster but Mario's squad punished them in the trenches.

Day's outfit is soft. That was an organizational ***-kicking and what people need to realize is play like that starts at the top and goes beyond talent. When you get a team full of guys that love to work it turns into something else.

Our team hopefully has the confidence that comes with realizing their biggest competition is on Greentree.

Ohio fans were making all kinda excuses for that loss blaming the DC hahaha. 3 days ago matt patricia was Einstein. They still drinking days later

Ohio St fans are still in their bubble from the last 30 years

They beat up on bad, slow, smaller Big Ten teams ( the Conference still sucks) and get this sense of entitlement that they can do that to everyone

It used to be USC or the SEC that would then beat them but it it was Miami who smacked them

This is what happens when people dont watch your team. Whenever we are playing teams, I actually watch their film and try to be as accurate and unbiased as I can even though we cant totally be. I was pumping the brakes on this talk like we cant move the ball on Ohio and generational defense talk. Empty stats. Watched every snap v Indiana and their DL reminded me of No D scheme, I wont lie. 2 gapping frog stance. And I dont care which OL or DL u played, u aint played ours.

I told a friend, my fear was being left out of the playoffs because this is what the team is built for, its like NFL games. Also people need to start respecting these ACC coaches. Except Mike Norvell. They dont play us with arrogance, they scheme up your haus
The thing that really stands out to me every year, and it’s the same in the NFL as well, when you get to the post-season you better be able to run the football or your severely handicapping your offense. When you combine that with an unbelievable defense you’re really tough to beat. Beck is only throwing for 100-150 a game but he’s playing smart and he’s efficient and when you’re playing incredible defense and running the football, frankly, that’s all you need.

You should start RKO'ing people at random.

I never cared for conference propaganda cause thats all it is. People thought we needed FSU to be good lol. That's what espn created, a fanbase full of canes that wanted fsu to be good. Crazy times, we dont need anyone.
Yep, I remember clowns on here cheering for Dalvin Cook. "He's a local kid". Exactly, thats why you should hate him even more.

Havent watch their film yet but overall, have to shut down their run game with the RB. They are gonna get yards just by the nature of their offense. We have to force FGs. And this game the offense has to help by running the ball. If Beck can get around 200 yards and we run for 200 or so we should be fine. Turnovers hurt or help either way. I will watch their tapes to kinda get an idea of the positions.

I hate Ohio state but they were not soft this year. It diminishes us by saying they were.

They were an elite team and a tough team. We are just on a completely different level in terms of toughness.

I think you already nailed it

The emotion and complexity of Ole Miss offense can get away from us if we allow it

If we stick to our identity we win the game if they get us out of sorts it can get dicey

CFB is softer. I saw Alabama's last few games and they were allergic to the running-game.

Day's process is soft if his teams get pushed around by coaches 4 years into a rebuild.

100% this, their offense came out really tough the second half. They didn't fold at all, Miami is just a complete bully which is amazing.

Someone needs to hang up "Fiesta Bowl 0-4" in the locker room.
