Yes, looking back the signs were there, so that criticism is fair. What's getting me right now as well as at the point when we became disillusioned with each of our past coaches, is the idea that there was some easy solution. Like just hire a proven guy. Or go get an up and coming guy. Or get the guy who's had success here in the far, far distant past. We've tried several different strategies and all have failed, and there's a simple reason for that. There is no right strategy that's definitely going to work. There's always a large element of chance to this.
All the schools currently having success went through long periods where they couldn't get it right. And what about Texas and Tennessee?
People keep saying just do this or that and it will be fine. If only we'd hired this or that guy or this or that type of guy we'd be killing it.
That's not how it works.
