"We shoot cops where I'm from" -Tenn. LB

Obviously there are horrible situations like what you saw and they're not to be minimized nor is any job where you're dealing with the public in often their worst moments.

When it comes to pure on-the-job life threatening danger though- roofers and fishermen and truck drivers and even landscapers are more likely to be killed at work than a cop.

It's not all about being killed on the job,,,,,,,there's a sht ton more they deal with than just the number that actually die. You are literally skating around every other aspect of their job to reach a point where you came up with those four occupations to compare with what cops deal with during their careers.

That was the most entertaining hood flick I’ve seen since Snow On Da Bluff. He’s lucky, where I’m from the shady pigs would of beat the **** of him and choked him to death but say he accidentally drowned in puddle of water that was only 2 inches deep.
It’s well known that there are many places where a black man shooting at cops would be self defense.

Buuuut this will end being a cuck situation, blondie likes dem grillz.

do what? killed? no not at all. dying on the job isnt being killed..... falling off a roof and dying isnt the same as being murdered doing your job.

the cop that handle Banks showed great restraint and afforded him more then most cops i know would have. the fact that banks opened his mouth and said how dare you arrest a Tenn football player shows the problem. Entitlement. Its a learned behavior kids/athletes are accustomed to.

does anyone think that if they had a warrant and suspended license they would have been afforded a call to the head coach or anyone else to try and get them out of it. they would have cuffed and stuffed you..... banks knew he didnt pay the ticket.... yet had plenty of money for bond in the bank..... if he would have just paid the ticket/fine he wouldnt have been arrested and could have continued being a street ninja in memphis. young kid that is full **** and has no humility at all.

Not disagreeing with that but fish arent shooting at the fisherman.

That LB and Pruitt are pieces of trash. The fact that

1. They allowed Banks to make a call on his cell phone
2. Share any info with Pruitt and allowed him time to try to weasel Banks out of it is ridiculous

Eye for an eye if you are gonna be that blatant about shooting at cops and trying to intimidate them “without their badge”
He didn’t try and weasel the kid out..of the kid had literally nobody else in too call, the yes the only type of guardian he probably could talk to is the coach..cops take mass shooters of churches to ducking Burger King but you upset they let him make a phone call on a suspended license warrant arrest lol..he didn’t says anything about him shooting a cop..you sound just like the female with that..just a stupid situation..you know how many ppl have their license suspended and don’t even know? I had mine suspended for like a week because of a ticket I got in homestead. When I tried to call and pay they said I had to drive down from Broward to do it. Then because of “budget cuts” their clerk offices were only open from 9am-1pm Monday through Wednesday. It was so inconvenient I just went a head and a d fought it court. Was a stupid *** illegal right turn at a red light stop. red light camera that got caught..if you think ppl should be locked up for **** like this you wildin bro

Problem with that mindset and society thinking it's suchhhh a dangerous occupation too is that you not only ingrain that idea in the minds of current law enforcement but you attract people to the profession that believe it going in.

Then you get wayyyyy too many cops that believe their life is in danger constantly and especially when ANY situation escalates at all and then bad things happen.

Exactly.

If you're that scared of a job, then don't take the job, simple.

I could not be a tightrope walker because I fear falling from great heights...similarly, if a Black Man eating a bowl of ice cream in His own home scares you, you can not perform the duties of a LEO, you need to choose a different profession.

In no other line of work do allow a professionals personal fear to justify assualt/murder of innocent bystanders.

Not even soldiers are given such immunity and I'm certain they are in constant fear.

yes..they took a mass shooter to Burger King..a officer doing that isn’t far fetched. Especially for something petty like a traffic stop..now some cops are just ******** and would have escalated the situation. Fact is the officers are the one In control, with the gun and authority. Kid was obviously frustrated and acting dumb. But kudos to the cop for not being hotbheaded and just doing his jop

The kid is a sad, clueless, knucklehead. The head football coach is the one who deserves to be skewered. He's the so-called adult in the room, pulling down probably 3-4 million a year, the face of the program and university, overseeing 80-plus knuckleheads. His comments were the most disturbing, but of course he's had his own issues in the past. Understandable that programs would be hiring from the Saban tree, though this one should have come with a warning.

Ohhhh, I'm not taking the kid's side at all in this. If you saw my comment regarding him actually being able to/wanting to call Pruitt then you saw I was clearly alluding to them probably being used to a get-out-jail-free type deal with that scumbag program and local cops.

Wasn't trying to skate around anything. Just jumped to the death statistic because "the officer feared for their own life" is the major component in the mindset I was describing and often in the legal system and public's reaction to a lot of police involved shootings, etc.

The death statistic also is relevant because I absolutely guarantee you that a verrrry large swath if not a clearcut majority of cops would admit that their #1 priority each shift is to just make it home alive rather than to protect & serve.....when death on their job is obviously an overblown fear.

I'm definitely not anti-cop at all but I do think we have a real problem when we allow that mindset that they're out on patrol in Fallujah instead of policing an American city or that we hammer that anecdote that even the most mundane traffic stop can lead to their death.

The fact that someone would do worse because they where offended says a lot about entitlement. "how dare you disrespect someone in uniform".

Yes, but hitting a target is very possible when you point at something and pull the trigger.

That has nothing to do with what I said. I will give you a short recap

Tenn Player: We shoot at cops where I'm from
Poster: He is lying only 50 cops get killed a year, so they don't shoot many cops where he is from
Me: He said they shoot at, not hit. He could very well be telling the truth.
