We lost Cole to WV now could we lose Irvin to the gators?

A Miami fan influencing top recruits to not come to Miami is not a fan. No other way around it. I just hate this give up and retreat attitude.

Yeah, things are not the best here, but it's not like it's the worst. And at the U, in two years time with the talent in the area, we could be competing for titles. It can even be argued that we have a better shot at winning a title before UF.

Surprisingly, we can even develop players.

Denzel Perryman - 3 star recruit. Ranked 25th inside Linebacker in 2011 (Rivals).
Now he is a potential 1st Round pick. A top inside linebacker. Developed under this staff.

If you want to be a NFL player, you got to work at it and stop whining about the coaches and the other BS. Winning and losing can be contributed to coaching, but a lot is on the players to step up and be committed to doing more than what is required.

When Ed Reed came to Miami, we weren't looking so hot. Our coach was on the hot seat. At that point, you can either give in and accept things or you do something about it. Attitudes like that are why these guys could have long careers in the NFL battling everything that the league throws at them.

You right this staff does okay with linebackers. Eddie Johnson and Gionni Paul were going to be NFL guys.

Now take a look at Thurston. He is turning heads in some NFL circles already if he keeps up his current production he will be drafted. But Dammit I want them to develop DBs and DL as well. Our DB's play so **** soft.

You just named 4 guys, 2 of which are no longer here.

Herb Waters
Tracy Howard
Deon Bush
Eduardo Clements
Anthony Chickillo
Tyriq McCord
AQM
Allen Hurns
Rashawn Scott

Had these kids gone anywhere else they'd all be top 3 round picks coming out. Now who knows where any of these kids will go when they declare in the next couple of years.

Tyriq and AQM could literally be like having 2 Vic Beasley's on our team but **** that. Lets put em on the slot receiver.

I agreed with you I said they need to learn how to develop something else besides linebackers if we are going to be a good team again.

I mean are they really developing linebackers though? Where's Tyrone Cornelius playing ball right now? Raphael Kirby is a DISASTER on the field. Idk man

Eduardo Clements? Seriously

You act as if all 4 stars player pan out every where... Waters, Hurns and Scott were all 3 star guys who turn out better than most experts expected. Waters still have almost 2 more years of football to play, and Scott has had his issues and injuries.

Howard has not developed given his 5 star status but is not exactly a bust either. His physical attributes will limit him from being a 1st round pick ever, same can be said for Chickillo.

AQM - seriously? you are using him as an example of a player who did not develop? He played lots as a true Freshmen and is suspended this year... He still has 3 years of football left.

Tyriq has been a player for us and will be drafted along with Bush.

Lmao @ the defenders on this site holy **** you guys are embarrassing.

Lmao @ thinking that anyone that doesn't agree with your stance must love Al Golden. Couldn't possibly be that we all want the best players at Miami.

Obviously I want Irvin at Miami are you high? But anyone who thinks he'd be better off coming here as opposed to another school are out of their minds.

Honestly the kid shouldnt be pushed anywhere, he should go where he wants to be, and where he feels comfortable not where other people think he would feel comfortable

Sony Michel comes to mind here.

This dude like Ridley have stated that they are UM fans but wanted to make a "business decision" I hate that line because if we were still looking at a 2 loss season as the floor of our expectations these dudes would have been canes.

I'll go on record saying I told someone directly involved with Irvin's recruitment to not let him come play for this staff because he'd be doing himself a disservice.

I can't believe you think this staff is going to be here for 4 more years...

Get it? Probably not..
He would be committing to THE U not this staff.

No I just want the best for a good kid who's representing my high school. I have no say in where he goes, but I wasn't even the first Canes fan to say that either. People close to Tim are only after the best thing for him and he's not an idiot. There's a reason he'd rather play for T-Rob and Muschamp.

I just got back from seeing him play vs. Gulliver. Guess who was there on the sidelines, T-Rob. Not a single UM assistant in sight and WCS is a 15 minute drive from Campus.

That's ok continue to support these troglodyte's running our program into the ground.

Oh, and eat an aids **** for pulling the fake fan card. Lulz you going to game tomorrow? I'll be there section 129 every game this year. That's the crutch you idiots stand on. Oh you aren't a real fan for this this and this. Anything to support the fool of a coRch we have. If I were a parent no matter how much I loved Miami I'd never let my kid play for Golden, D'Onofrio or Paul Williams if he had the chance to go play for Jimbo or Miles or Saban or even a defensive guy in Muschamp like Tim Does. He'd be costing himself millions of dollars by doing so.

We don't develop ****. Did Seantrel develop here? How's Artie Burns coming along? Ereck Flowers has regressed, Stephen Morris regressed. Allen Hurns goes anywhere else and he's taken in the top 5 rounds of this years draft. Instead he comes here has to sit through ******* Golden and Snickers throwing him the ball and goes undrafted.

Ed Reed played for a real coach dip****. Butch Davis is 7000x the coach Al Gluten is but you people don't understand.

You must be a Cobbler Ridge Laz #CanesFam jackass.

Lulz @ work hard and forget about the coaches. Tell that to the kids here that will get taken in rounds 5-7 the next 2 years and go on to have amazing careers once they get coached up by guys in the NFL.

I mean holy **** there's NFL scouts laughing at how our guys are coached and taught to play the game.

Thank you for showing everyone you have no credibility.

Seantrel's problems were never on the field it was always the off the field stuff that kept him back, Seantrel was rarely on the field. Seantrel did more harm to himself than anything, that's the MAIN reason he went in round 7 of the draft and not higher, there is a reason why the bills were giving Seantrel a short leash to begin with him. Seantrel himself said off the field issues hurt him the most. Has for Hurns he entered the draft at a wrong year, the depth of the draft was at WR and the main knock on him was that he didn't do anything impressive, and draft analyst even stated that if this were any other some of the WRs that weren't drafted would've been drafted. As for the others its fair game, I know Big-e personally from his days at Dr.Krop so I'm a little basis there.

Do you make **** up just to fit your agenda? You may be a fan, I don't care but don't make stupid *** comments with crappy evidence.

First you complain the staff does not develop players then you list 3 stars who over achieved and claim they regressed. Any example pointing the other way you ignore. Oh yeah F*** T-rob, he can recruit all he wants on Friday nights while getting their asses kicked on Saturdays, right now I'd rather have our staff focus on winning, that will help more than attending any one recruit's game.

You keep pointing to 19 year olds as undeveloped... **** where is Mathew Thomas right now? Burns will be a stud, give him time.

Flowers is a stud, period, not sure where you see the regression. Was he underdeveloped as well last year? So are all the players either underdeveloped or regressed in your book?

Morris was a 2-3 star recruit you probably complained about recruiting and now complain that he regressed, he was hurt most of the year last year, most players don't play as well hurt.

Allen Hurns is another guy you probably didn't want here since he was not a 4-5 star guy. Guy proved everyone wrong since the day he got here and had a banner year last year breaking UM records... I don't know what else the staff or anyone could have done to get him drafted higher.

Ed Reed won his national championship with Cooker, not Butch.

I don't disagree with all your statements but your examples are so stupid I just had to respond.

Seantrel is starting over koundjo, so i can say he developed nicely, linder is starting also, perryman is projected as a top 1-2 rounds, he also has a 1st round DT in his resume who is a beast for the team i hate the most in the NFL, i hate this staff with a passion and i cant wait for them to be sh¡t canned but they have kids out there that are starting in the NFL over 5 star guys coming out of high school, cant pull the cant develop card when we have guys out there starting on NFL teams

Seantrel was taken out of games at random all the time thanks to the classic Kehoe shuffle. Kehoe is a terrible OL coach who the game has long passed by and never developed his skill set he just relied on superior talent. Problems or not he was still a top 2 round talent.

I'll digress on Hurns. But there's always an exception to every rule.

Lets take a look at this disaster that this guy wrote as he was vomiting all over his keyboard.

1. No I don't make anything up and I have no agenda.

2. T-Rob is light years better than any **** coach on our defensive staff which is saying something because he's not even that special. When Paul Williams or Dorito helps develop a Matt Elam type or any first rounder in the secondary you let me know.

3. Matthew Thomas is suspended, not a college Sophomore who had offers from Alabama and had Nick Saban doing everything he could to get him to Tuscaloosa. First off he's playing out of position here and his technique is just atrocious. So yes, underdeveloped and neutered right from the start.

4. Flowers isn't this cant miss prospect this fanbase likes to make him out to be. He's decent but nothing about him says elite, franchise first round tackle, sorry. Just watch the kid play. Seantrel was better than him last year and he hasn't wow'd this year at all.

5. Morris has a killer junior year. His injury is no excuse for the **** show that went on last year. If he was so hurt then play Williams. His ankle doesn't make decisions on where to throw the ball.

6. Already digressed on Hurns, good job you scored one.

7. Butch Davis recruited Ed Reed, coached him for 3 years and turned him into a finished product by his senior year. You think Larry ******* Coker, an offensive coach had anything to do with Ed Reed's development? That was all Butch and Mark Stoops.

You're literally naming 3 kids. This is MIAMI. Not ******* Temple where its cool to have 4 guys in the NFL. Holy **** we should be churning out 1-4th rounders every year we're in the mecca of football talent.

I dont care where they are drafted i just care if they are playing or on rosters, seantrel is starting something we expect from a miami kid, hes starting over a bama kid, olivier vernon is starting, travis benjamin with the browns, allen hurns is balling for jacksonville, so who f*cking cares where they are drafted, those dudes are making plays in the NFL

You're not getting it. Its not where they were drafted...its that you could only name 4 kids in 4 years going to the NFL and making plays. That's scary at Miami.

Its actually 5, maybe 6 if lamar wasnt such a idiot but thats a different discussion, compared to some other schools that actually pretty dam goodl, to add the volume of kids leaving isnt as high as other schools, do i want more? **** f*ck yea, but we are still putting guys in the league, that are starting over guys that were drafted higher, some big name schools that have kids drafted in the top rounds cant say that
