We lost Cole to WV now could we lose Irvin to the gators?

Can no longer blame these kids for leaving town.

i wouldn't with our on the field production. but the weird thing is a lot of these kids who don't commit here rarely say it's bc of the our D. it's usually financially motivated or something about wanting to get out of town. Others just weren't heavily recruited by our staff. Travonte Valentine is one recruit that comes to mind that mentioned scheme but in hindsight it really doesn't seam like that really played a factor.

If there's a staff in place before the bowl game similar for when *** signed...Tim could be ours but as of now it aint happening

Guys, I need to say something even though my first thought was to move on. Irvin being at risk is a real concern no doubt. Peter has had him in the bag in December since his junior year . We began to hear that Fl was recruiting him hard about three months ago. Florida's coach down here is an aggressive recruiter and can't be ignored for sure but remember he got five early commitments out of south fl. Kids last year but ended up with only two and we were cool on both of those. They added two more later one a Miami commit who was ok but not elite. Remember Fl. Has problems of its own and there is a strong possibility of a coaching meltdown there. Be concerned?Yes, but don't drift into the nonsense of saying that current players are telling recruits not to come here. With rare and I mean very rare exceptions players are happy at the U and are loyal to their coaches so Burns/Howard etc. telling kids that they shouldn't come here? Don't compromise your good points by speculating on that unlikely possibility.

I'll go on record saying I told someone directly involved with Irvin's recruitment to not let him come play for this staff because he'd be doing himself a disservice.

And you are?...not being an ******* just asking a serious question. In which way do you have an impact on recruiting?

all opposing recruiter have to do with a defensive prospect is pop in a tape of the CANES defense getting manhandled by any team with a pulse and it is game over for Miami. Especially in year 4 and nothing has changed with the defense.

Make sense. Miami fan tells recruit not to come to Miami. Then ******* Miami can't recruit. Player has team with an equally questionable staff as the leader.

Thanks

This is exactly why getting too worked up about commits before this football season even started is retarded. If UM continues playing like we've been playing and making no progress on the field, then the 2015 & 2016 classes will look significantly different than they do now.

The 2014 football season was absolutely crucial to El Foldo. He could still pitch the progress angle before this season started. He won't be able to pitch that if we tank, as it looks like we will.

Tank this season and watch what happens. Then all the nerds can blame the fans for being too negative instead of looking at the truth.

You have to learn that what kids say to the press isn't what they say to themselves or their families.

They're coached up not to attack schools that offer them and take their time recruiting them, and they usually build friendships with the coaches recruiting them. So they're not going to publicly embarrass them in interviews when it serves no purpose for them.

A Miami fan influencing top recruits to not come to Miami is not a fan. No other way around it. I just hate this give up and retreat attitude.

Yeah, things are not the best here, but it's not like it's the worst. And at the U, in two years time with the talent in the area, we could be competing for titles. It can even be argued that we have a better shot at winning a title before UF.

Surprisingly, we can even develop players.

Denzel Perryman - 3 star recruit. Ranked 25th inside Linebacker in 2011 (Rivals).
Now he is a potential 1st Round pick. A top inside linebacker. Developed under this staff.

If you want to be a NFL player, you got to work at it and stop whining about the coaches and the other BS. Winning and losing can be contributed to coaching, but a lot is on the players to step up and be committed to doing more than what is required.

When Ed Reed came to Miami, we weren't looking so hot. Our coach was on the hot seat. At that point, you can either give in and accept things or you do something about it. Attitudes like that are why these guys could have long careers in the NFL battling everything that the league throws at them.

I agree I'm not happy with the staff but I'm not telling elite talent not to come here

lot of the experts are starting switch from Miami to the gators on the Crystal Ball, this was the samething that happened with Cole too. You guys think these recruits see top Dbs like Howard or Burns not playing to potential and they start looking else where

OP - :cigar: a little too much... God Bless!

You right this staff does okay with linebackers. Eddie Johnson and Gionni Paul were going to be NFL guys.

Now take a look at Thurston. He is turning heads in some NFL circles already if he keeps up his current production he will be drafted. But Dammit I want them to develop DBs and DL as well. Our DB's play so **** soft.

No I just want the best for a good kid who's representing my high school. I have no say in where he goes, but I wasn't even the first Canes fan to say that either. People close to Tim are only after the best thing for him and he's not an idiot. There's a reason he'd rather play for T-Rob and Muschamp.

I just got back from seeing him play vs. Gulliver. Guess who was there on the sidelines, T-Rob. Not a single UM assistant in sight and WCS is a 15 minute drive from Campus.

That's ok continue to support these troglodyte's running our program into the ground.

Oh, and eat an aids **** for pulling the fake fan card. Lulz you going to game tomorrow? I'll be there section 129 every game this year. That's the crutch you idiots stand on. Oh you aren't a real fan for this this and this. Anything to support the fool of a coRch we have. If I were a parent no matter how much I loved Miami I'd never let my kid play for Golden, D'Onofrio or Paul Williams if he had the chance to go play for Jimbo or Miles or Saban or even a defensive guy in Muschamp like Tim Does. He'd be costing himself millions of dollars by doing so.

We don't develop ****. Did Seantrel develop here? How's Artie Burns coming along? Ereck Flowers has regressed, Stephen Morris regressed. Allen Hurns goes anywhere else and he's taken in the top 5 rounds of this years draft. Instead he comes here has to sit through ******* Golden and Snickers throwing him the ball and goes undrafted.

Ed Reed played for a real coach dip****. Butch Davis is 7000x the coach Al Gluten is but you people don't understand.

You must be a Cobbler Ridge Laz #CanesFam jackass.

Lulz @ work hard and forget about the coaches. Tell that to the kids here that will get taken in rounds 5-7 the next 2 years and go on to have amazing careers once they get coached up by guys in the NFL.

I mean holy **** there's NFL scouts laughing at how our guys are coached and taught to play the game.

Thank you for showing everyone you have no credibility.

You just named 4 guys, 2 of which are no longer here.

Herb Waters
Tracy Howard
Deon Bush
Eduardo Clements
Anthony Chickillo
Tyriq McCord
AQM
Allen Hurns
Rashawn Scott

Had these kids gone anywhere else they'd all be top 3 round picks coming out. Now who knows where any of these kids will go when they declare in the next couple of years.

Tyriq and AQM could literally be like having 2 Vic Beasley's on our team but **** that. Lets put em on the slot receiver.

I agreed with you I said they need to learn how to develop something else besides linebackers if we are going to be a good team again.
