Grace is our leading tackler and is being asked to cover WRs 1-1 as a linebacker.

On what planet is he more replaceable than AQM?

IDK man. We seem to have far more horses along the line that can go get the QB now that we have a scheme that allows it. Guys that can cover in space and make plays along the line of scrimmage not so much. I am of the side that thinks Grace is slightly more important. Hopefully we won't have to worry about it for too long either way.

Lmfao, Carter has barely improved at SS in 4 years and you guys think he's going to pick up LB in 3 weeks? Mccloud, Gordinier, T Harris, and Smith will play there before him. I'm not saying carter couldn't play LB it's just way too late to switch him.

The reason I think he can do it is because according to Grace/Diaz that SAM position is pretty much a safety anyways.

Grace was covering guys 1-1 and moving around a lot. Not your typical 4-3 SLB.

Situationally i'm fine with it because it was already part of the scheme there's just no way he can be an every down LB.
 
Either loss will sting but grace lost would be worse and its mot close, kool gone find a way to get what he want out of the next dl up

Maybe so but a true freshman DE that all he has to do is go get the QB is different than many other positions. Not saying it's ideal at all but I am saying we have more viable options to replace AQM than Grace.

And I totally forgot to put Harris in there.

If AQM were to be suspended. Good chance Willis slides in his place actually. They've been working him at both spots.

He's very disruptive but he's working on a rotation with Norton and McIntosh right now as the staff feels those are the best two at tackle.

What has AQM done at Miami exactly? Yes he's been lumbered with an awful scheme, but it's not like he's coming off a 10 sack season. He's been anonymous.
