I have never been one to worry about experience too much but starting 3 true freshman LBs.... I just don't know man.

True but if anything we are playing 3 cupcakes to get them fine tuned for the schedule ahead. We will be a better team because of it at the end of the day. One option could be to move Jamal Carter down to Sam linebacker and start Jaquan like another poster posted last night. And roll with shaq, Jrock, Pinckney

And on the flip side 3 freshman haven't gotten crappy coaching from the previous staff so...

Somebody mentioned something about a student board review earlier in the thread. Not sure if that's true, but why the **** would they have jurisdiction in a situation like this about compliance?

And another quote that stuck out to me since practice started was that richt said he doesn't look at the mid enrolles as freshman. They are veterans and have been in this same defense just as long as the other backers and outside of Darrion Owens and Mike smith none of the others have any game experience

I'm all-in on moving Carter. I'm sure McCloud and Perry would do fine but the best players need to be on the field and this would allow Jaquan to become a major presence.

I think he meant that Grace will be suspended at least three games. Not that we will lose three games because he was suspended.

It wasnt based upon Grace being out. It was based upon 3 true freshman starting ag linebacker and i completely agree. Its worth 2-3 L'S for sure.

I doubt that 3 freshman would start anyway. Most of the time we will be in nickel, so I even doubt that the two freshman starting would have gotten a lot of burn if Grace was eligible. Plus, Michigan State played three freshman in their secondary, and still only lost 2 games. And one of those was to Bama.

At that point it is up to the school to find out whom did what and for how long. In which case this whole thing is put to bed for lack of evidence the kids can say we paid cash from our cost of living stipend, which they should have for a under the table deal like this.

Nah man. That safety spot ugly with carter gone. Then on top of that he has been learning the safety spot in this scheme and then would have to learn a completely new position.

That **** would just create more problems. Just have to see if owens is ready to go and hope gordinier, perry, and mccloud can get in there and compete too.

Lmfao, Carter has barely improved at SS in 4 years and you guys think he's going to pick up LB in 3 weeks? Mccloud, Gordinier, T Harris, and Smith will play there before him. I'm not saying carter couldn't play LB it's just way too late to switch him.
