We have reached the critical point

I think many of you are completely overstating the issue. Including Andrew.

A few vocal fans aren’t swaying the decision making of the people who run a university. Just chill out for a few days and let people have some time to do their jobs diligently and thoroughly. And remember that no matter what happens, you always have the choice to not support a college athletic program. You can choose not to attend games or watch them on TV. And based on the panicked replies to this thread by some of our posters, it may do you well.

Do I need to re-start the thread on the positive of cheering for a mediocre program?
Mighty bold of you to assume that anyone currently associated with athletic decisions can be trusted to do their jobs diligently and thoroughly. At least in the interest of on field success anyway.

I'm actually gonna join Twitter over this ****.

At this point a few things are very clear:

1) There are competing thoughts on who should lead our athletic and football programs
2) The decision makers are purposely leaking information in their war with each other
3) The point to decide the direction of the program will come this week

We won't get a redo at an athletic director for probably 2 head coaches cycles and we won't get a a redo at a head coach for probably 4 years. If you have influence, use it. If you don't have influence then Tweet. Those that decide must know the consequences of their decision. Do not assume that we are winning this because of the new BOT members. Who do you think holds sway over the BOT members that are not as passionate?

Continue the fight!

Tell me what derogatory gifs you need me to make and I'll make them.

Amazing how the media doesn’t cover a head coach of a P5 program has his father dictating who does and does not get hired for athletics.

This also isn’t just about Diaz though. The baseball manager (DiMare) has a relative in the BoT (DiMare). There are a lot of people in the bot that don’t want an autonomous AD that is driven because of nepotism.

Why local media isn’t all over this story is beyond me.

This isn't about Manny. It's about the expectations of our athletic program from the board of trustees.

Those MF's don't give a ****. A loss to FIU, giving up the most rushing yards in the school's history, giving up the most passing yards in school history, worst tackling team in CFB, and having such a **** bad recruiting class isn't enough, then nothing we will do is either. Jurich is out, and the AD will have their yes man on board like James was. The few BOTs that give a F have no pull, and now we are talking like it's the AD from NM as the favorite. I am disgusted as a fan for the incompetence that goes on within the people in charge. If Manny isn't fired by next week, then he won't be fired. F THE BOT AND ANYONE WHO BACKS MANNY

A bad AD will retain Manny for another year and then hire another Manny to coach for the next four years. A good AD will fire Manny and hire a good coach. The AD is more important than the coach at this point.

Make our voices heard and say what?

Exactly?

Hurry up and hire an AD? You mean like we did when we hired Manny.

Ok, then who? Who is it that was supposed to be advocating for, specifically? Other than making sure that Manny is relieved of his duties? Because that I can get behind although I think he’s history anyway.

What else is it that we’re supposed to be advocating for? A quick decision for athletic director?
