We gave up 587 yards

Who is saying Manny needs to stay? The defense was bad. As usual. He's had long enough to fix it. He still needs to go.

I am happy we found a **** quarterback and we won. Doesn't change how I feel about Manny. He's had enough times to fix it. He doesn't deserve another one this off-season. Blake James needs fired and a competent AD needs hired and let him do his work.

easy...disguise our blitzes better. We telegraph the blitz so easily that qb and reciever can check down to crossing routes over the middle. Same deal when we blitz the safety. Wide open over the middle each time.

And to top it off, we have no one that fills the area that is being vacated.

I think the coaching situation will figure itself out. like ive said, if we need more losses to fire a dude, then he was never getting fired. you can tell already what we have right now with Manny. he may improve as an HC elsewhere but hes clearly still learning at a job where you can't learn. the biggest part of the season no matter the record is that we may have found the QB. a game changing QB can change everything for you.

the problem is its the experience players not making plays : Couch good grief on Saturday, Carter as expected, Ivey as expected and Manny recruited 18 linebackers, and we put out there Raygone, ( who actually looked better then Jennings ) this is so sad :

I know you believe it’s “ message board bs” but he was fired if he lost against NCSU. As I’d been saying they were waiting for him to be eliminated from the coastal . That would’ve put UM at 0-3 in conference, 2-5 overall with a four game losing streak. There’s a reason Blake came out of nowhere and started making the media rounds, all but saying MD was being fired the week of the game. All that did was speed up his firing , Blake rustled many peoples feathers with that stunt, Including manny and other coaches around the country, it was a very bad look in coaching circles.

I agree w you on Blake. I just don't see Manny being retained regardless of results at this point

They say they want to treat football different , make it a priority going forward. There’s supposedly a lot of changes coming.

I’ve been saying for months Mario wouldn't come here if he’s here. Theres also other folks UM is interested in that wouldn’t come if he’s the AD. Tbh his stunt would hurt us with other coaches , which is another reason why he’s done.

yeah I have no doubt Blake is done. that part I do agree with bc like you said that stunt was ridiculous and backfired hilariously.

I don't think Mario is coming regardless. just don't see a notoriously cheap school suddenly spending with the big boys. even wit richt, it wasn't to the level of others and that was the most we've done. well see I guess. I do think were gonna be cheap and wait for the buyouts to drop for both if Mario does accept

If anyone thinks some DC could make diamonds out of the worst group of linebackers we have ever had at the U then they're living in a fantasy world.

Granted the roster gaps are on Manny but the reality is there are major roster gaps on D. We lost super talented DEs and have the worst group of DEs we have had in 10 years, we have basic DTs and questionable CBs and 2 of our starting LBs wouldn't start for any other P5 team in the country. The best player on our D is likely a 4 star freshman.

You guys talk smack about kids that haven't played meaningful downs like your sure they would be better but the reality is you have no clue how they would perform... maybe they are faster but maybe they completely ***** up so many times that their negatives far outweigh their positives. If these guys were burning up the practice field a la James, LT or Kam they would be in. Playing at-home coach is always easy. Our best DE is a guy you guys wanted to fire the coaching staff for even playing.

I know we don't have a great D but I also knew at the beginning of the season we wouldn't. If it wasn't for Tyrique, Deandre and the guy you guys wanted out of here we would be exponentially worse.

Its like this 15-0 mantra was crack to you guys and you went blind.

I see this season completely different from most guys on this site.

Manny deserves the blame for his inability to keep studs at every position and his inability to coach fundamentals and discipline, but he is working with what he has and the team just got thru two games no one thought they would.

I have seen improvements in the offense and I have seen improvements in tackling and improvements with penalties. I have seen improvements in making half time adjustments and I have seen a team that has fought like **** in every game since MSU. I am incredibly impressed with how TVD has been coached up. I am interested in seeing where these improvements land and I have no doubt that a midseason firing would have been disastrous for the program. If he does go 8-4 I am sticking with him unless you can get Jimmy to come back or Chris Pederson. I would love to see the AD fired and a restructuring of the athletic program altogether. In order to get better you have to improve and we have this year.

Most guys on this site completely ignored our attrition and our obvious weaknesses so they are disappointed but almost anyone who predicts this stuff that didn't have orange and green glasses on predicted we would be exactly (or within a game) of where we are at this point in the season.

Shows how soft James is. Tried to separate himself from Manny to save his own skin but overlooked the fact he is the one who hired him and has been overseeing the **** show that is UM sports. I can totally see him getting in bed with a few influential people and being a puppet, doing whatever he can to step on as few toes as possible and then intentionally try to step on the toes that no one really cares about.

its even funnier that he didn't even tell Manny he was gonna do that which was customary and then it all backfired as Manny won both games lol.
