We gave up 587 yards

Yea that’s sustainable
Sustainable, as in, that's been the norm?
Our defense has been tough to take, I get it, but how many times have we given up over 500 yards this year?
Pitt is the only team we've played that we didn't hold to their season average, or less.

I'll go out on a limb here and say no one else in the country has played (4) top-12 offenses this year.
Sustaining wont be an issue. I'll also go out on a limb and say these next 4 teams will not come close to that 589 number:
#26 Duke
#53 GT
#73 FSU
#103 VT

Am I thrilled with the D?
No, not by a long shot, and I don't need to hear the "low expectations" bs, but it's a W and I'll take it.

You can call me a mope but you can't dispute it. We are giving up 472 yards per game to power 5 teams this year with a HC who is a defensive guru according to some idiots.
Those P5 teams average about 485 yards per game.
Even so, not acceptable.

Why is Ivey out there? He isn’t moving around when the play is on the opposite side. I don’t get it. I thought this was over for him. Can’t get recruits quick enough if they stick with their commitments.
They rotated him, Couch, & Clarke. They all were getting put in the toaster! So they were trying to find anything that works. I get what ur saying though! Jesus

That will go unnoticed. Slurpers have their moment now

In 2019, it was losses to FIU and LaTech. Can’t wait what’s in store for next year if Manny survives.
I am by no means suggesting Manny should be at the helm any longer this year let alone ongoing. He has proven incompetence at a grand level and even though the hype is fun, it’s all talk. TNM. That stood for not just bad, but real bad. But shocked to see Ivey with 4 tackles and Couch without any. Recruiting has been terrible in CB and LB since Manny has been here. And DE for the last couple of years and that is now coming to roost with zero pressure on opposing QBs.

Manny is too reactionary. He has no vision which is why we are so underwhelming coming off of bye weeks. Rhett has actually been creative over the last few weeks now that he knows what we’re working with. Not suggesting for him to be in charge just to be clear.

Actually, if Rhett can keep this up with TVD, he might be attractive to the next HC to keep on staff especially if it’s a coach with a defensive first philosophy.

So glad you said that and not that he should be the next head coach. I had to read it twice. Can’t wait to hear that Rhett should be our next head coach from the usuals on the board. We so need a proven commodity on D. Not saying Rhett has earned it yet but with how we are rolling, he may get a pass of the ship starts to sink if he can keep putting up 400+ yard games with over 35 points. With more of a line we could be averaging 7-10 more too.

Oh, **** nah as HC, lol!!!

No more on the job training here for HC’s.

New center, new rb and new qb? Amazing how those 3 changes have made such a huge difference in the offense and play calling.
