What does Francois have to do with playing a top 25 defense on the road in a rivalry game we hadn’t won in 8 years?
To clarify- you're arguing that because coaches discipline players after not catching balls that hit their hands (a common mental tactic), all passes are equally catchable & the ball placement doesn't affect the number of drops.No. You don’t know what you’re talking about.
I played receiver and free safety. If a ball hit both my hands and I didn’t catch it, I had pushups and laps coming Monday at practice.
They didn’t get any breaks on ball placement. If you can get two hands on it, it’s placed well enough to catch.

Exactly, no matter what FSU will always play with more effort vs Miami and the same thing goes for Miami too. Look how close the rivalry has been since the the 80s.These fools. FSU was down because they stopped showing up after losing their QB. That’s why they lost to teams like BC. However, they played hard against Miami. They had a more talented team and a decent qb, they gave us their best shot and we won.
WTF with this freaking love affair for Rosary. He is so limited but people are singing his Praises just because he's our QB. Fk that settling for a 5th Year starter to be mediocre.
Yes. That is what I am arguing. Ball placement absolutely does not affect drops. It's only counted as a drop if the receiver gets both hands on the ball and is not adversely affected by a defender. To clarify- you're arguing that because coaches discipline players after not catching balls that hit their hands (a common mental tactic), all passes are equally catchable & the ball placement doesn't affect the number of drops.
You're a special kind of stupid![]()
It's absolutely logical to back a guy that is clearly skilled enough & looks like he has the mental makeup to make this offense one of the best. Let me tell you, we have the players to do it. Maybe you didn't see all the points we left on the field last year, maybe you did & are just hardheaded. Either way, I'll remind you that at this point, only Kosi has had a chance to beat Malik out. No QB is gonna beat out the starter in his first spring as an EE.Because it’s way more logical to have a love affair with the guys who can’t take his job on the practice field.
Maybe you should reference a different throw than one that asks a QB to throw it 70 yards across his body on a rollout.
Call me when Jarron Williams passed Cade Weldon and N'Kosi Perry on the QB depth chart. When he locks down QB2, he'll be a legitimate threat to challenge for QB1.It's absolutely logical to back a guy that is clearly skilled enough & looks like he has the mental makeup to make this offense one of the best. If you don't know, you either don't care enough about getting #6 or haven't watched enough football in your life. "Crowned" is an overstatement, but I'm more hopeful than I've been at any time in the last 10+ years.Call me when Jarron Williams passed Cade Weldon and N'Kosi Perry on the QB depth chart. When he locks down QB2, he'll be a legitimate threat to challenge for QB1.
Right now, as it stands, if something were to happen to Rosier, Perry or Weldon would get the nod and Jarron would still get a shirt.
I hope that JW is the future of our franchise because I care about the future of our franchise. But he's 4th on the depth chart right now, and he'll stay 4th until he proves he's ready to move up.
Why in the **** are certain people so invested in having him crowned before he's ready?
This makes no sense. The fact of the matter here is so obvious.Yes. That is what I am arguing. Ball placement absolutely does not affect drops. It's only counted as a drop if the receiver gets both hands on the ball and is not adversely affected by a defender.
If the ball hits your hands, but you don't catch it because you got rocked by a safety or a CB gets his hand in there it isn't a drop.
You're arguing that division 1 receivers who are open and get both hands on the ball get a pass occasionally because the ball placement wasn't perfect?
Okey Dokey
Well, I don't. So why don't you enlighten us? Tell us all what you know that the coaches do not. Why is it that CMR has Malik, Cade, and N'Kosi throwing to receivers and JW throwing to equipment managers? If you don't know, you either don't care enough about getting #6 or haven't watched enough football in your life.
You have no idea what you are talking about here, but go ahead and keep pretending. This makes no sense. The fact of the matter here is so obvious.
Passes that are behind the WR or off target in any way are much harder to catch than ones that aren't, regardless of whether the ball's close enough for you to get your hands on. This affects the "drop" percentage, & has nothing to do with nearby defenders.
I know more than the coaches because I like Jarren's chances & provide reasons for my opinion? Shireffs was the starter after the spring last year, but sure, Cade might have a better shot.Well, I don't. So why don't you enlighten us? Tell us all what you know that the coaches do not. Is JW so good that he doesn't need practice?
Or are 1st and 2nd team reps too valuable to waste on the 4th string QB?
Tell me what you know that the coaches do not.
Jarren closed the Spring 4th on the chart behind a guy who barely even participated in spring ball.I know more than the coaches because I like Jarren's chances & provide reasons for my opinion? Shireffs was the starter after the spring last year, but sure, Cade might have a better shot.
I'm a Jarren fan. I just don't think he's ready and see no need to rush him, so long as Rosier can continue to hold a lead in practices.I know more than the coaches because I like Jarren's chances & provide reasons for my opinion? This year JW is a perfect candidate for a RS and then get a little mop up duty if the opportunity arises. The new rules are a good fit for this situation imo
Apparently you think you win an argument by screaming louder & pouting harder. I explained why your premise is off, in detail. There are passes that go down as drops on the stat sheet & were perfectly thrown balls, & there are others that the WRs had to reach, slow down, or jump to get their hands on. These all go down as drops. The discussion isn't about what receivers are or aren't expected to catch. It's about whether or not how accurate a QBs passes are affects how often they're "dropped" on the stat sheet when they've hit a receiver's hands. You have no idea what you are talking about here, but go ahead and keep pretending.
Receivers aren't just expected to catch perfectly placed balls. You're expected to catch every single ball that touches both hands. Failure to do so, outside of some mitigating factor, is a drop. It's not a drop if the ball placement only allows you to get 1 hand on the ball, but if the ball touches both hands, you're expected to catch it.
If you can't, you play defense.
