I remember watching Charlie Ward, and he was terribly erratic as a junior. Most people thought he was a bum just like Rosier. Then, he had an incredible turnaround as a senior. So, OP, I see the point you were making, and it’s a good one.

People, who hate Rosier, look at your post in hindsight knowing what Ward already did as a Senior. But no one expected him to do that as a Senior after his struggles as a Junior.

Chise, Ward was struggling and then as a desperate measure FSU went to a no-huddle, hurry-up spread vs Gatech down IIRC, two scores late into the 4th quarter on the road. And the Noles pulled of this miraculous victory and out of that was born 'the Fast Break'(I think that's what they called it)

And it suited Ward perfectly.

Comparing Rosier to an NBA basketball player is asinine. Ward was the Vick of his day. He was smart to play b-ball because in that era he’d have never been drafted early. Rosier is nowhere near that talented. That’s why Richt always comments Rosier thinks he has more running abibilty than he possesses in coach speak. I think Rosier will improve on his stats in year 2...but comparing him to Ward is beyond moronic. UM would’ve won the NC last year with Ward.

Ive always held a theory that the biggest improvement in a QB is between year 1 and year 2 as a starter. Im looking forward to Rosier putting my theory to the test this fall.
