I know the fall practices haven't begun yet but by all reports doesn't seem like Rosier has done anything to lose or loosen his grip on the job (suprisingly) could this mean we're in for a improved season from him? probably not but Richt coached Charlie Ward and Richt is coaching Malik Rosier. They are more or less similar and the statistic as first year starters are similar. Ward got a big year in his 2nd year as a starter we can only hope Rosier can do the same.

Charlie Ward first year as the starter his stats:
22-17 TD-INT on 55% percentage with 504 rushing yards for 6 scores.

Rosier first year as a starter:
26-14 TD-INT on 54% percentage with 468 rushing yards for 5 scores.

Charlie Ward second year as a starter (last year):
27-4 TD-INT on 69% percentage with 349 rushing for 4 scores.

What I'm pointing out is that it's not impossible for a QB to improve on his efficiency as a passer. Granted I don't think Rosier is as talented as Ward was though. My problem is I don't think Rosier has the mentality or arm talent but we'll see.

Interesting post, OP. I didn't know Ward put up those numbers during his junior year and you're right they are surprisingly similar to Rosier's. I don't believe he's surrounded a national championship supporting cast, but I think we win our regular season games and play Clemson much closer this year.

Did u really just compare malik to charlie ward? Stats dont always tell the story. If thats the only comparison ok i guess. But play style is nowhere near similar.

If you had to choose what other sport your QB plays you choose the basketball kid everytime. Especially a PG. Tired of watching fastballs thrown in the dirt. Hope he turns it around.

I don't think he compared them.
More just an example that comp % can improve from JR to SR year.
At least that's how I interpreted it.

Malik doesn't have the same mentality. He just wants to finish as a starter.

Dude no comparison one was a Heisman Trophy winner the other could buy alcohol 3 years ago. Charlie Ward was not a quarterback by default people are reaching for straws if they even think they're in the same boat. Take your homework caps off and get real. Rosary won't finish the season at QB.

After what we witnessed last yr, not just on the field but from HIS OWN **** MOUTH, we have EVERY right to criticize him lol.

At this point (since he's probably starting) I'm sure we ALL hope he's improved. No more QB excuses. If he or the "group" can't get it done the staff has failed imo.

I'm not to sure Rosier gets it done either but it was just something I saw.

That's what I think as well. He just wants to finish the year as the starter in his last year. Nothing about Rosier especially when we've heard some of the things he has said says he will have a season like Ward did.

If he plays rosier should improve, hopefully he has improved. He was more than ok in the first half of the season or so and then got really inconsistent but made plays in the next 3 games . It fell apart completely the last 3 games though. I dont Know if it was really the shoulder injury or that is just what he is(combination imo) but still

Statistical. Like I said I was pointing out the improvement Rosier can hopefully make as a passer from one year to the next in terms of efficiency. No way am I saying he'll be a Heisman candidate.

Rosie could have been hurt the last three games of the season but who is not hurt at the end of Acuff grueling season. I believe people got to see more game film on Rosier and so his hitch in his throwing motion. Don't get me wrong Rozier is tough in strong-willed but he is far from the ideal candidate.

Bubble screen were a problem passes in the middle to wide open receivers were constantly missed check Downs forget about it and in the second half defenses seem to I just hope he is better but I really hope he truck the ball more instead of throwing I'm still ****ed at how jt4 and so many other receivers were wide open impasse is not going to them. Rosie made CMR Playbook look like crap. Sorry guys I just had to vent.
