I know the fall practices haven't begun yet but by all reports doesn't seem like Rosier has done anything to lose or loosen his grip on the job (suprisingly) could this mean we're in for a improved season from him? probably not but Richt coached Charlie Ward and Richt is coaching Malik Rosier. They are more or less similar and the statistic as first year starters are similar. Ward got a big year in his 2nd year as a starter we can only hope Rosier can do the same.
Charlie Ward first year as the starter his stats:
22-17 TD-INT on 55% percentage with 504 rushing yards for 6 scores.
Rosier first year as a starter:
26-14 TD-INT on 54% percentage with 468 rushing yards for 5 scores.
Charlie Ward second year as a starter (last year):
27-4 TD-INT on 69% percentage with 349 rushing for 4 scores.
What I'm pointing out is that it's not impossible for a QB to improve on his efficiency as a passer. Granted I don't think Rosier is as talented as Ward was though. My problem is I don't think Rosier has the mentality or arm talent but we'll see.
