We are playing the #6 team in the country in the Orange ....

Knowing were 7 point dogs at home vs farm boys has me feeling low. Sorry.

Voila. The Sin City bookmakers absolutely KNOW Miami doesn't have an OFFENSE to speak of, and because of that it puts too much PRESSURE on the defense and what not.:stephenahand: dUh. Also, Miami's special teams SuCKS!

If we play mostly man D, I think we dominate them. But it appeared to me we somehow became more of a zone team Virginia game and on...how many times did opposition punt those final 3 games? So if the D can get opponent off the field, I think Rozier and O will have enough
Chances to get a rythem going and put good points up. To me that, turnovers, and having Spicer punt, are the keys to us winning

I’m fired up af for this game. HUGE game!!!!! I’m planning on leaving my voice behind, ringing in the ears of our opponents, just like VPI. I want to see a madhouse, and that’s what each and every one of us should be planning on and expecting. Respect is taken, not given.

This team has given us so much this year, now is not the time to stop giving back. Buy up the henny, the cigars, the meats, whatever you need to get prepped and ready to show. Those Wisky fans expect to walk into a danger zone on 12/30, let’s not disappoint them. It’s time to scare the fck outta some fat winter bound midwestern yokels and support this mutherfckin team!!!!!

LETS GOOOOOO CANES!!!!!

Are those the same bookmakers that made the lines for VT in ND… asking for friend.

we have all been demoralized by Roziers last 2 games. it's a shame that there's too much politics and waste of a redshirt or PERRY would of been starting
Huh?

If someone offered before the season started that we'd lose 2 games n be in the orange bowl with a chance for Perry to redshirt I'd roll with it.

I don't see it as a waste of a redshirt. Let him learn the playbook and gain some meat n muscle

Playing UW man up is exactly what we want defenses to do against our O. That allows holes to be blown apart in the running game and takes the safeties out of position so that 10 yard gains become 65 yard TDs. That in turn allows the PA game to carve up the D, because in man to man UW is going to put pressure on your outside guys by running some jet sweep action combined with off tackle powers where we pull the C and backside G. That leaves the CB to make the play in the run game. Tough to stop the run effectively while maintaining man coverage.

The vast majority of Hornibrook's INTs have come against zone when he fails to read a defender dropping into his throwing lane. Plus zone helps keep Taylor in front of you. He had a lot of his long runs against stacked boxes selling out.

Frankly I don't get the ND references that I have seen on here. UW is a much better team than ND, who got blown out multiple times this season and they don't play all that similarly. ND has no passing game at all, ranking 103rd in passing efficancy and 117th in completion % (UW is 30th and 33rd) and plays ok D, 43rd overall (UW is #1 ) but isn't exceptional in any category on that side of the ball, unlike UW who is top 15 in virtually every defensive stat. ND is all or nothing around their run game. Take it away and they have no other option, while UW is much more balanced on O. Besides being from the same general geographic area and a solid oline, I don't see any real similarities between the Irish and the Badgers.

How can any fan not be fired up? WTF, we are at home, in the Orange Bowl, against the #6 team in the nation, this is our chance to open up any plays we have(using DJ more), D-fense to step up, Malik to get his shiit together and win a big ******* game. I get the feeling from this board that we are dead and there is no excitement. Wake the fvck up, this is big game for us. Our offense is hurting, defense is ready, lets go beat that Whisky ***. Crowd, bow up and show your pride, this is almost as big as Miami/ND! We lose and we look like any other 3 loss team. We win and we are 11-2 and one of the top 5 in the country. Get your heads out of your *** and make some noise!
GO CANES!!!!!!

I hope Miami is ' fired up ' for the game. Because they MAY BE still suffering from the ' ego doldrums ' and what not. In other words, from a psychological perspective those two season ending losses took A LOT out of the team! hUh.

The bottom line: If Miami doesn't come out READY TO PLAY, Wisconsin is going to molest them akin to what Clemson did to them.:Qft9gEw: dUh.

Oh, and one more thing. If Miami defeats mighty Wisconsin they WON'T jump into the Top 5. Simply because they are currently ranked No. 10, and many ' dominoes ' would have to fall for Miami to be ranked No. 5, or higher. OUCH.

Besides ND and maybe Duke, and arguably VT, we really didnt come out ready to play all year. Clemson was just way better than our opponents, and instead of being down by 3 or even ahead at half, like Toledo, FSU, GT, Cuse, UNC, etc, we were blown out quickly.

Flat has been our norm with few exceptions.

OSU would have been better. Instant ND type atmosphere at The Rock. WI should be hot but no way it comes in at same level. But it is just as important a game so everyone needs to bring A game. Pitt and Clemson showed that our crowd is a major factor again. We need to lift the team and lead it to crushing defeat of WI.

If Rozier plays better, does he get the S back in his name?

If Malik plays better, i.e., completes passes to receivers, we win. Period.

I'm a fan of the 5 wr sets. Set up in a 4 set pull the RB out as well and lets go. Only problem with that as you mentioned is, Rosier has to be consistant and accurate for us to win. 25% of games this season he's thrown in the 40% completion rate. Get the ball out and hit the receivers in stride and not make them work too hard to make the catch.

SOS.

It's crazy. The general pulse of this board and fanbase is that the season is already over. People act like we are playing Kentucky in the Independence bowl or something. This is our biggest bowl game in about a dozen years. Wake the **** up, mouthbreathers!

Half of the teams above us are going to lose, winning puts us higher up in the end rankings, Let's kick a$$

Man, y'all fair weather mofos need to get off my QB. He ain't perfect but we've won 10 games and got to our first NY6 bowl in 14 years. And we made it to our first ever conference title game. We beat FSU for the first time in 8 seasons, and also beat Virginia Tech and kicked #3 Notre Dame's *** in the prime time game of the week. There will be plenty of time during the spring to determine if Rosier is our best option at QB moving forward, but until then, he's my QB and he's earned my respect this season.

Speaking of which, when do practices start, I’m assuming we haven’t had any yet. Or have we?

Per 24/7: Miami's first practice will be Sunday night on its campus. They will continue to practice at UM throughout the week until reporting at its bowl hotel on Dec. 25.

The Hurricanes will then practice at Nova Southeastern University beginning on Dec. 26 for the week leading up to the game.

Miami will have a total of seven practices and two walk-throughs in preparation for the game, which is scheduled to kick-off at 8 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN.

I'm not trying to totally excuse for Rosier for the past few games (after all, he's been inaccurate all year and he is who he is) BUT I honestly wonder if he did get hurt. I've heard UNC game but regardless...

He really made a lot of nice throws this year. Obviously he was "off" a lot as well, but for the most part there was always an up for a down. Watching this video and also just limiting it to Berrios this year in general, he threw a lot of dimes. But the last few games he's looked absolutely horrible. Can't make any throws. Doesn't match up with the rest of the season.

As I posted elsewhere, I'm curious to see if the time off is reflected in his performance IF he was hurt at all.
