Well, as they say, don’t look past any team and certainly keep the focus on 1-0. However, BYU doesn’t look like it will be up for the task and FSPoo surely may be found wanting.

So, this matchup can be on the order of magnitude of the 1988 and 1989 games (although the CFP changes things a bit).

I’ve had that same exact thought but didn’t have the stones to put in writing.
The thought of the satisfaction walking out of their house knowing we eliminated them two years in a row???? OMFG amazing! Beating them in their house and beating them again in the playoffs would also be sweet.

How does that help MIA win a NC?

If they go 6-6, or more realistically lose to BYU & MIA, our win will end up getting devalued.

One of the main reasons why this program did not win a NC last season, was that it was forced to play a 4-game gauntlet in the CFP as the #10 seed; this is why making the CFP as a higher seed matters.

Sometimes I don't understand this fanbase; being able to rejoice in our rivals' misery is not more important than optimal positioning for a NC run. If so, the priorities of this fanbase are misplaced.
