Except the polls do tend to work that way. The dropped out of the AP and deservedly so. Teams that look bad all year, then get throttled against real teams tend to drop out, no matter how many spots, all of the time. It's only week 4, the polls still don't mean jack, but it is just laughable the coaches would keep them ranked. Malzahn might get 50 votes, that'd explain it.

The teams we beat have a combined record of 3-6. Now all the Potatoes get to root for Nebraska and hope that wins looks relevant.

That will always be the case. To do a fair comparison you take away our games against them.

They're 3-3 not including our games.

Too early to tell whether or not Neb will be any good. My hunch is they will compete for the Big 10 West title.

Why is a portion of this fan base so concerned about the SEC and those teams being ranked or not? How good or bad the SEC teams are and their prevailing thoughts on the SEC.

The SEC is so far out of Miami's league right now that they should be no where close to your thoughts. Keep your attention on the Coastal and those high powered teams.
