We are Mark Richt’s Georgia

we showed up big time for VT and ND this year

clemson was just better and our team was running on fumes.

wisconsin was a very well coached team. Their OC outcoahced our DC.

So let me get this straight...after a decade of no bowl wins, Richt wins us our first last year. Then after never winning a division title, Richt wins us one in his second year. But hey, why note the improvement. Let's assume he can never get us there after getting 19 great players to sign early. Also, are we failing to recognize that most of the weak links on the team are Golden players? Oh wait, the fact that Miami has the most tenured coach in the state means nothing. Let's fire the guy and put that advantage to an end right quick!

Listen, your a good poster.
I think you get my point.

Tangent?
You, or the OP does not like Richt.

Ok, your the "GM".
What do we do?

If it's about getting a real OC in here, I'm good with that.

He said we will not be elite with him.
So Richt goes?

State our options.

I don't get your point. I am not calling for Richt to be fired. I am hoping for changes because the issues are obvious.

Agree on changes.

Throughout the summer and into this season Richt kept saying this team isn't where w need to be yet even with the success the were having. He kept saying it even after close wins and a lot of people didn't hear it or ignored it.

Then he has made the determination that we will never be elite under Richt.
Duly noted.

Maybe you can answer for him as to who he'd like to replace Richt with at this point.

I'm assuming "elite" is a coach who has won, or played for a Natty?
Let's list the candidates that are available....

I found one.
Les Miles.

No thanks.

Congrats on taking us on a tangent. Great porst.

I will tell you what we needed when Richt was at UGA. When he hired bobo at OC our offense took off but the defense was to weak. Once that got shored up it was never hiring a special teams coach..........at all...........that lost us to many games. Not being game day ready for big games was very problematic. I remember one year watching a video of him hamming it up doing high dives with the players.......and looking like our kids did nothing but party all week before the next game.

I see Richts awesome new tan and goatee and about 40lbs of extra weight since he left UGA. Hes enjoying that miami life style. He enjoys the relationships and teaching men to be good men. Football is not in his top 4 list of biggest priorities and im not saying it should be...........unless of course you are paying him millions of dollars a year to make his players think so.

You posting here to bash Richt is a really bad look, move on.

Not bashing if it's the truth, that 10th coach better at least be a hybrid LB/STs coach. Sick of watching LBs hittin' the wrong holes and STs lookin' like straight garbage on KOR & KOC.

What did he say when he blew his opportunities at UGA?

We will be the fifth to eighth best team every year. If you’re ok with that go Fack yourself.

Hate to say it, but we are. We’ll be competitive. Win 9-11 games per year. But we’ll never be elite.

GTFOH w that BS. Richt just finished his 2nd season and it eas the best season we've had in 10+ years. He also did it w the least talented team he'll ever have here on top of our best RB, WR and TE being out. Losin 3 in a row to finish sucks but if two of those are against top 6 teams oh well. The future is bright AF at Miami

excuses, excuses.
I'm guessing you will say the same thing about the Pitt game to?

I didnt want Richt hired bc he would be too above average to fire, but never good enough to win big.

Best we can hope for is he retires and leaves the team stacked for a winning coach.

It was harder to get to the national championship during CMR's tenure in Georgia. Now with the CFP in play just give CMR a shot to build his roster, he will be a factor for the CFP year in and year out and hopefully bring us another Natty. Its simple guys

Im sorry you dont like it but im not saything anything that isnt dead on the truth. I wish to goodness Uga fans didnt fall in love with him after making us look better the first few seasons because it ended up being my entire youth of going to college football games, going to college, etc to always get let down when we always had a team that should have done more. Its like so many canes fans are on here saying.....if you are happy to win 9 or 10 games a year but blow the big ones then you will be a happy camper for long long time. Uga fans just got greedy and wanted more.

Richt left us with wide receivers who dropped more balls than caught. He left us with No kicker........not a single one. We never sniffed a championship even with classes full of nfl players.

Kirby took that team, got a walk on kicker, drafted 2 quarterbacks better than the one we had, kept our nfl running backs and coached a team richt couldnt win with into the national championship in 2 YEARS.

Im hoping you guys and scream louder than we did. Make him hire an OC NOW not years later. Make him take your special teams seriously. Go crazy when he cant figure out how and when to use timeouts. Go ape**** when he decides on a 54 yard field goal when its obvious that is a bad call.

I will take the bad look so hopefully yall dont have to lol.

So you expect him to be better at UM than he was at UGA?

Care to explain why?

Umm.. I wouldn't be to sure about that. In 15 years Richt has only finished in the top 4 twice heading into bowl season. (2002, 2007)

I will say he has a much, MUCH easier path in the ACC then the SEC. Trying to finish in the top 4 playing FSU, VT, GT, Pitt, and the out of conference game is much easier then doing the same playing Tenn, UF, Auburn, crossover of LSU, Alabama and the OOC game etc.

How many times in 17 did he end the regular season ranked in the top 4?
