We are going UNDEFEATED!

As long as Virginia is on the schedule, I'm not holding my breath.

We’ve been undefeated three times in history. Yet it gets predicted every offseason on this board.

It's always the same flawed perspective...looking at the schedule.

Great teams go unbeaten, or nearby. No matter what it looks like beforehand, lesser teams find ways to lose multiple times. They simply aren't special enough to sweep teams that are slightly less talented but still occupy the same tier.

It reminds me of the Triple Crown in horse racing. Throughout my life Ive heard that there are two paths -- either a truly great horse, or a good horse in a weak crop. Meanwhile, the second option has a losing streak going back to at least 1946. Assault was the last Triple Crown winner who had a spotty career. Justify last year was very lightly raced but he did finish unbeaten at 6-0.

I'm not relying on something with a 72 year losing streak. Likewise in college football I'll be a believer in unbeaten if the Canes are a great team with a power rating alongside the Alabama types and Clemson types. Right now we are more than 20 points below that level so it likely aligns with 2-4 defeats.

Two losses sounds like less than an optimistic prediction, until you step back and recognize that those teams are Top 10 and in playoff contention.

We should win a lot of games but also this is mannys first hc gig.I'm sure there will some great things happen but I do expect a few mistakes by Manny a few that could very well cost a game or two.just hope fans don't go off the deep if the season doesn't start of end we expect it to.

Revenge tour next year. It’s def doable especially if you start off the year beating Florida.

Beating LSU would have set an entirely different tone last year psychologically - but I remind you, lots of posters thought we'd roll them. Based on I'm not sure what (Our spring very questionable O-line against an SEC built D??) .

This conference schedule is as bad as its ever been. 3 first year coaches, a down VT and FSU and playing a bad Louisville team in our cross divisional game. our schedule is usually a joke but this upcoming season is the worst its been.

Should make Diaz a coach of the year candidate

Hopefully all the work the team will surely put in before Fall camp will payoff as such that it’s a team focused and prepared for the season ahead. That will be incumbent on the new coaching staff offensively to turn the corner and actually help the team to wins this year. Luckily when already at rock bottom the only way out is up so we should get 2-3 wins out of the season with that premise alone. Then if we can somehow win our share of 50/50 games it could turn into a pleasantly good year for the Canes given the schedule we play, and the talent that will be finally maximized. Give me 10-2 or 11-1 and ACC Coastal champs and a trip to Charlotte for 💯 Alec!

Let me see if I have this right.

Manny, with zero head coaching experience, is going to vastly out perform in his first year at Miami, the best coach in CFB, in his first year at Alabama.

Is that about right?

1st year, never-been-a-head-coach-ever Manny is going to blow out Nick Saban’s first year at Alabama. The Nick Saban who in his first year at Alabama already had over a decade head coaching experience, in college and in the NFL, and already had a national championship.

So what we’re saying is, that there will be no growing pains, no transition issues, no taking longer than expected to change the culture at an underperforming program.

Yep, we’re going 12-0. Wheeeeeee!

Can’t wait to see the toxicity in this site after the first loss, or after we go 9-3 or something like that. But I don’t have to worry about that because first year Miami Manny will blow out first year Alabama Nick in terms of coaching performance.

Ok..go back to your fever dreams. Sorry to inject some reality into the situation.

It’ll be 12-0 fa sho!

Fans here are getting ahead of themselves.expecting an undefeated season that's ludicrous to expect that.Diaz first hc gig sure he will make a few mistakes and we know the qb and oline situation.plus we still have a few prima donnas to weed out as well.to be more realistic we possibly could lose a couple first part of the season as Diaz and enos workout the kinks in the offense by seasons end the offense should be hitting its stride.3 loses isn't a bad deal for Diaz first year building up for next year.even jj lost 4 games his first year here.one of them we had a 30 point lead at halftime and one is famous fluties hail Mary as time expired.
