We are a team closer to 4-4 vs 6-2

Remember when Shannon was hiding the play book and holding back plays? It’s gotten worse. All we are now is 4 yards and a cloud of dust every drive. When the run gets shut down, we are stuck in the mud.

That’s why I wondered if Mario got involved or if it’s Shannon. I can’t tell but I know that the QB is killing this offense for sure.

I’m not saying that’s these last two weeks have been anything nice to watch, but be glad that the team still fought and didn’t roll over like in previous years. Some of y’all 🥷 just straight up weird.
 
I think you’re missing context. If it was last year I would agree but this week took a weird turn. We lost to GT n UNC. UNC lost to UVA and GT. I say we are a team that’s trying to get away from mediocrity for so many years that we are on the verge of a breakthrough. We just need a QB. I do think we are more of a 6-2 team than a 4-4 team.

- Dawson/Mario were just bad.

- Imagine if we had lost the last 2 games. We would be 4-4 with 4 straight defeats. It would be such a bad and toxic situation.

The TVD situation (seems mental combined with some injuries) is just bad. Might be best for him to move on next year. Thank you Virginia DB for dropping that 3rd INT.

Thank you for seeing what I see.

It’s mind boggling to see so many unwilling to see that this looks nothing like the offense that we ran the first 4 games this season.

We look slower and more methodical by the week. Other teams are playing at a breakneck level pace and trying to gas our D. A lot of times our D line couldn’t get set because UVA was immediately running the next play.

So our HC, instead of running tempo on our side to try to gas their D, insists on running tempo as slow as molasses. Our once fun and wide open offense now refuses to throw the ball deep, and TVD is holding the ball for 5-7 seconds, because the routes are taking way too long to develop. He looks like he’s never played the position once again, just like last season.

We have a coach that plays scared, and not to lose. That is NOT Miami football. We have always been known for our aggressive play style. It’s sickening to watch this at times.

On D, we start off every game playing soft, and as the game progresses and we’re in a dog fight, they start to then blitz and put pressure on the QB. That crappy team yesterday went down the field with ease multiple times, and we’re fortunate that our bend but don’t break defense made some big plays.

If Wario tries to play this style on offense and defense against FSWho, we will get blown out for the second year in a row.

NC State will be a dogfight next week. We’ll be fortunate to get a W in that one.

At this point, we’ll be fortunate to win one more game.

N. C. State and BC are toss up games.

Louisville and F$Who are sure L’s.

I said after the NC game that we’re a 7-5 team, with a possible 8-4 ceiling if we get every bounce to go our way the rest of this season. If our Canes continue to play on offense like they have, then they’re going to prove me right.

I thought I saw some of the loyalists downvoting or laugh-voting people for predicting a close loss or even not covering. I don’t get how some of these guys, after years of what we’ve had, and what we’ve had in games under this coRch included, continue to swallow the whole “cagootz and balls” to quote the eloquence of @The Franchise. They literally never learn.

I agree, my friend. It’s as if they are mindless bots that have been programmed to follow the narrative, even when seeing the same thing over and over.

Cognitive dissonance is a very real thing.
 
Good morning. Don't let any of this distract you from the fact that Mario should have had us take a knee.

We should be 7-1 this morning, ranked, and in control of our own destiny for the ACC Championship.

You are right but after 5-7 we need a good record at least perception wise for recruiting. Obviously aren’t that good but we a knee away from 7-1, and have shown improvements ill take that in year 2
 
Just win baby. At the end of the day we all know that’s all that matters in sports. It helps with recruiting, it helps with the media and the rest of the country’s perspective of you, it helps with everything. While you’re sitting here thinking we could be 4-4 I’m thinking about how easily we could be undefeated. Obviously, we should have beat GT, and we just beat the team that beat UNC last week. Is it perfectly ideal? No, but I’ll take the win.

Yeah, said the same thing, Ground Hog Day. I had to go over and watch that great finish @ Kansas / Oklahoma.

:ohlord: ...I think he made some valid points. The full story of this season has yet to be written. I will be pleasantly surprised if we finish 3-1. Also let's remember Manny finished with 8 wins his second year with 2 less games (and no I wouldn't want him back).
