We’re 125th in average starting field position as a defense

Makes what Manny has been able to accomplish more impressive.

I was never really sold on Manny. And to be honest I'm still not sold on him.

But I can't deny the results. He's fielded the best unit on the team since he got here and doesn't show signs of letting up..

He's earned his paycheck.

none taken, I think after LSU it was and the expectation was that this team could function at a high level in spite of it
Gotcha.

I mean you honestly can’t be any worse that we are

Somehow last year we were able to overcome our 3rd Down deficiencies (I say deficiency but we know it’s worse than that) but our ineptitude in critical areas has caught up with us from the Pitt game on

We were playing fast and loose with the fundamentals and now we are spiraling out of control

The yips are when you forget how to do something that requires a motor skill, it is extremely common in baseball pitchers. Jon Lester for the Cubs has the yips when it comes to throwing to first base. He's one of the best pitchers in the game but has a mental block throwing to first base.

Feagles went from an All American high school punter to shanking every other punt. He is the definition of the yips

No. It is a neurological condition causing a "flinch" in muscle memory. Like a golfer making a routine putt but some neurochemical element misfires causing an abnormal muscular reaction.

That makes sense but at the same time we average 19ppg allowed per game which isn't top 10 but is pretty good considering offenses don't have far to go to get into scoring range.
Not scoring a fg or a td when you have the ball at mid field to start a drive is called leaving free points, any team worth 10 cents will easily score points all game long or every other drive.
