What say you and why? I personally look to avoid idiots at bars with their usual cane negativity.

I've done plenty of both, and home is WAAAYYYY better. First, you have a little bit of control over actually being able to watch the game, instead of getting your waitress to check on getting the channel changed or the volume on. Then, it's way cheaper, you get your stuff when you want it, you've got your own bathroom, no loud idiots (yourself notwithstanding). And of course, you can get $#!+faced and not have to worry about getting home.

If you're anything like me, you're pretty much unbearable to be around during a Canes game unless you're with other Canes fans. Do the public and yourself some good and stay home.

Home. Although I have to say it would have been satisfying to be out at a local watering hole during the UM/ND game to watch the Irish subway alums meltdown.

Home. Control the other attendees, better prices, more comfort, better cost. Really just a better experience. I'm certainly going to go to the FSU game at Hard Rock. In general I prefer to watch from home other than marquee matchups.

Bar. I go meet up with the alumni gamewatch party. I am surrounded by people who know the players and the game. All Cane fans are welcome. You dont need to be an alumnus. The feuds are friendly but for the most part we agree on the state of the team.

I stopped going to the bars for games way back. It was a away game at ‘cuse in the 90’s that lasted forever because refs just kept calling penalties. Marley was playing so it was at least exciting but after that it was stadium or home for me.

I refuse to go to away games @ FSU, VT etc... anymore. I'll attend a neutral site game (LSU and UF next year), but I can't stand sitting in the middle of opposing fan bases and dealing with them all day tailgating or after the game. Same goes for bars...if i'm not out of town I watch all the away games in my movie room at home.

Depends. If it's a nooner against Syracuse then home is always going to win. If it's a big away game then a bar full of Canes fans can be the next best thing (or sometimes even better) than actually being there. We were at Duffy's in the Grove for FSU last season and the experience there with a few hundred people going beyond bezerk on that last td is something that'd be hard to duplicate in your living room even if you're having a watch party- and it's not even like chain restaurant Duffs is Canes Central on the bar front too.

At home, drinks are free and I'm allowed to throw things when rosier throws picks. cant do that in a bar

Usually I prefer to watch away games at home or at the home of a fellow Canes fan. One TV with one game on and the sound as loud or quiet as we like it. At a bar, there's always a chance you can't get a seat in front of the TV showing the Miami game and you get stuck with Toledo/Temple on the screen in front of you while having to turn around to watch the Miami game on the TV behind you. Most sports bars nowadays have set TV schedules and the managers will no longer change the channel for you. Even if you do get a good spot, games are long and if you stay for the whole thing, you're looking at an easy $100+ bar tab.

Home. If there were any fan/alumni bars in Indianapolis that had watch parties it would be fun to go.
