A Miami Hurricanes coach in his 4th season should not field, or be in any way satisfied with, a defense that ranks:



- 46th in Scoring Defense

- 48th in Rushing Defense

- 56th in 3rd Down Defense

- 70th in Red Zone Defense

- 65th in Sacks Per Game

- 59th in Opponent Completion %

- 76th in Interceptions

- 114th in Penalty Yards Per Game

- 88th in 2nd Half Scoring Defense

- 106th in 4th Quarter Scoring Defense

- 80th in Punts Forced

- 77th in Rushing 1st Downs Allowed Per Game

- 61st in Total Opponents 1st Downs Per Game

- 84th in OPP Time Of Possession

88th in second half scoring defense. If that doesn't scream incompetence in every level I don't know what does. This idiot said he has happy with his staff and their ability to make halftime adjustments.
 
I thought the d was solid this year also consider we lost aqm and figs, only one nfl player leaving perryman, as for the offense well thats a different story we need to get better way better

You can't have insanely high penalties and mediocre sacks/turnovers. Sometimes you sacrifice one for the other they both can't suck

Exactly. If we scored 70 points a game, we'd be undefeated and none of those defensive stats would matter. Fire Coley, give Golden and D'Onofrio a key to the city, and hire an offensive coordinator who can outscore our opponents. NOW. I'm sick of shady offensive coordinators holding Al back from taking us to the Promised Land.

Folden and his lowered expectations. Defense was mediocre this year but looked great compared to the 500 club. Pitt, UVA, NEB, and Ga Tech all ran it up our *** and controlled the whole game.
 
it's funny - all the people that were lapping it up 5-6 games into the season talking about "top 10/15 defense" were blind to the fact that this defense's last 5 games would result them in falling into the 50s. Classic Golden defense - folding the latter part of the season.
 
We can't fault the defense as they did improve from 88th to 15th. That is a huge improvement. We need to focus on what matters and that is 6-6 and dead last in the coastal
 
Not to worry. Again, it starts with him and he takes FULL responsibility for it.
