For all you ******** talking about Sapp and bad timing how about Golden interviewing for another job just 2 weeks ago losing key recruits. It is what it is call a spade a facking spade!!!

So 2 wrongs make a right? There's no need to continuously throw gasoline on the fire. We all know it's fcked, there's no need to continuously remind our recruits who could possibly make this program better. We lose out on Valentine, Jackson, and any of these other possible surprises like Bo, and we'll be in another rebuilding mode for 3-4 more years with a new coaching staff. Just let us get the recruits and if the coaches don't deliver, fire them and hire someone who can work with a full cupboard, not another bare one.

Agreed. This is what I've been trying to say. We know Golden and Co. aren't good coaches but we still need them to bring in elite talent so the next staff has a foundation to build off. Some Dumbass people think its funny to biitch and kick the team while its down. Absolutely contributing nothing but to the demise of this program. So to summarize we have dumb coaches and even dumber fans

I don't think anyone disagrees with him, we're just all saying why the fck would you bash your school one week before signing day when we have a legit shot at some big names that could go either way?

18th in scoring and 45th in total D is not an abortion.. that's also the only time they had any upper classmen with some semblance of talent.

Exactly. We haven't had crap in the upper classes the last two years. Next year will be moderately better and in two years we will be getting close to what we need. It just amazes me that people have just forgotten what an absolute train wreck this program was when Golden got here and how devastating it was for us when the Shapiro crap hit the fan. We finally got that monkey off our back this season and because they got to 7 & 0 with smoke and mirrors, a miracle in and of itself, suddenly all the "experts" here have an epiphany and think we should have been playing for the national title this year. Hate to break it to the unaware, but we really weren't that good this year. We really, really were not that talented this year, especially on defense. You can win with one or two freshman starters on the defense but you cannot do so if you have to populate half your defense that way. We have brought in much better depth the last two years and are looking at the best defensive class in years right now. Be a fan and quite being a hater and support the Canes.

The funny thing is people acting like this was a form of malice by Sapp. They asked him a question in an interview and he answered. I doubt Sapp looked at the calender at home and said NSD is next week let me say something scathing to the media about UM. It's misdirected anger, the gripe should be more with those who can control the awful product rather than those pointing out that it's an awful product, if the defense wasn't vomit inducing Sapp wouldn't even have the opportunity to speak on it.

All our rivals have to use is last season's film/stats. Some comment from some U alums isn't going to swing this one way or the other 1 week out.

I don't know what they're selling the recruits. We weren't a top 25 team, but we have a top 10 ten recruiting class including quite a few out of staters, so they're selling them something. One of the best selling points about the U is the family atmosphere, the history and tradition. When those things start working against you it doesn't help matters. We need guys like Warren Sapp using their fame to steer recruits towards the U, not away. Some of you guys would rather the coaches fail with an empty cupboard and give a new coaching staff another 3-4 years. I'm not interested in that happening. I want the best players here and if the coaches fail, we get new ones.

This is the worse I have ever seen our defense look,even when we were on probation the defense didn't look toothless like it does now!!!
