Visual evidence that Odoglu is the starter at RT

Thankfully corch has built enough depth that if it doesn't work out, we can just throw Gadbois right back in there.

You know players tend to improve the longer they play...All you guys were talking crap about Linder, until he shut you up. Lets see what Sonny does, before we bash a kid who is going into just his fourth year of playing the sport. I think the kid will ball this year. I rarely doubt Kehoe.

agreed. If you were going to design an offensive tackle from scratch, your ideal model would be Sunny Odogwu.
Kid was living on a grass mat outside a 10' x 10' jungle hut 6 years ago. Probably didn't realize there was a thing called American Football until a relative short time ago.
90% of the sophomores and juniors playing college football, and have played football their entire lives, are still trying to figure it out.

This kid has the attitude and work ethic we all wish Seantrel had, with the same if not better physical ability.
When he figures it out, watch out.

Odogwu has been getting the majority of the reps at RT, but McDermott and Isidora (with Joe Brown sliding in at guard) have also gotten reps.

In practice, Sonny has been shockingly impressive. I couldn't believe it at first, but he is performing consistently. He finally looks comfortable as a football player, and his physical gifts (particularly his long arms and upper-body strength) are starting to show.

If it was up to me, I'd give him a chance to start against FAU and Bethune. McDermott's future is at LG and we may as well get it started now. If Sonny can't handle it, we can always move McDermott back outside.

You may be right. The problem is that he's lining up against guys who are not asked to rush the passer often (that skillset hasn't been developed like it should). If you line up Sonny against a speed rusher on an opposing team whose sole job is to get to the qb - lights out. JMO

Who is Sonny lining up against? Trent Harris?

This OL will not be good this season. Them are the facts, boys.

And shut your mouth talking that Henderson shlt. That dude matured and turned a corner here. He transformed his body from pudgy bag of garbage into a lean tackle. He started all 16 games as a rookie and had a great season.

**** out of here trying to slander the kid that put in the hard work to reach the pinnacle of his profession. Leave the bashing of former players to Golden's fat ***.

How do you know who Sunny lines up against?

And for 2, how does he know what type of defense sunny is going against. Is our offense practicing against our d, or are we showing them defenses we will see this year?

Probable Chad Thomas or AQM. People were saying that Gregory was going to kill Gabois too. I highly doubt they would start Sonny if he wasn't playing well.

Our base defense is a 3-4, so he is either blocking Chad Thomas, AQM, Trent Harris, Tyriq McCord or Darrien Owens. I wouldn't worry about Sonny.

Yeah, Gregory only busted up Gadbois for 7 tackles, 2 sacks, and a forced fumble.

Didn't kill him at all.

KC already said Golden told him he is the starting RT in a interview after one of the practices.

Everyone who's seen a practice says Sonny's night and day better than last year...
AG sent him to a Bull fighting Seminar in Mexico City over the summer...His "Olay" has greatly improved...plus he learned how to make authentic chimichangas

No he didn't. Gregory didn't do all his damage against Gabois. And his last sack was when the game was basically over. Miami loss the game because of their defense.

My question was rhetorical and my point is that it's irrelevant. He's lining up against guys who aren't being taught to rush the passer like they should be.

Thomas is not a pin your ears back rusher. Harris is underwhelming and Owens is not a pass rusher. McCord disappears at times and yeah, these guys are taught holding edges and dropping into zones more often than they are rushing the passer.

(Even though these numbers are inaccurate) At least Gadbois wasn't a complete ****** while getting whooped.

(Even though you just spoke out of your ***) his response to getting owned wasn't the discussion.
