Why are we wasting our time with Ny Carr & these OOS kids when Florida produces NFL talent annually? And they’re cheaper!
Go OOS for ELITE TALENT (Tristen Keys) or line of scrimmage players (Jackson Cantwell)

WR Vance Spafford - So this news started to leak out yesterday. Spafford "cancelled" his visit to Miami. In reality, it sounds like Miami has moved on. This now sounds like a battle between UW and Georgia. The info I had gotten relatively recently was that UW wasn't actively recruiting the talented slot receiver. That was sort of true. In reality, they weren't pushing for him because word was that he had priced himself out of the range that UW was willing to pay. However, it sounds like Miami decided they didn't want to pay the asking price either, so the Hurricanes cancelled Spafford's visit. He still remains committed to Georgia and now there's a lot of people who think he could stick with that decision, but word I got is that this is basically a 50/50 situation and a battle between the Huskies and the Bulldogs. Definitely a situation to keep an eye on.
Gaby says this isn’t true, FWIW
If you want to give him his flowers for last year that’s cool. But X is one of the hardest workers to ever come through Greentree . He lead that room by example. He was a psycho. Btw I’m not high on Beard or down on him. I’ve always been meh. If he wasn’t a former Cane he wouldn’t have been here twice . And the hype wouldn’t be so strong. Imo position coaches get too much hype and too much blame . There’s only a handful of guys who really stand out at each group. Our WRs last season looked the best they've looked in a long time IMO.
I'm going to go ahead and give Beard his flowers.
Recruiting is to be determined but saying he's an ok coach is crazy to me based on last years results
Why are our fans so easily pleased by the lowest of measuring sticks? Our WRs last season looked the best they've looked in a long time IMO.

lowest? were you a Miami fan when we had Brian Monroe playing WR?Why are our fans so easily pleased by the lowest of measuring sticks?

Are we going to have 9 slot receivers on the field at the same time? Not sure why some of you aren’t high on this kid. Tape is real nice.
Couldn't agree moreAbsolute truth, right here.
KB has not landed a Top 35 composite 5-star WR.
On the other hand, he has landed:
Composite 4-star Josh Moore - #125 recruit
Composite 4-star Malachi Toney - #358 recruit
Composite 4-star Daylyn Upshaw - #473 recruit
Not sure we were really close on any 2025 5-stars
Composite 4-star JoJo Trader - #42 recruit
Composite 4-star Ny Carr - #67 recruit
Composite 4-star Chance Robinson - #181 recruit
We did not get 2024 5-stars Jeremiah Smith, Ryan Williams, TJ Moore, or Ryan Wingo
KB is not the best WR recruiter. KB is not a terrible WR recruiter.
KB will not be fired or "non-retained" due to his recruiting.
Pointing to one year and one statistic as validation is low. I expect the coaches to be versatile and effective in more than one area. That seems far fetched to the Beard crowd. The bulk of the credit for #1 offense goes to Ward then Dawson then Restrepo then the others share a tiny part of the rest. The WRs werent exactly washing DBs and running pristine routes. Beard has turned into a hero from being a sidekick.lowest? were you a Miami fan when we had Brian Monroe playing WR?
From Rivals
The four-star Georgia receiver commit has decided not to take the Miami trip this weekend since Spafford is not feeling well and he wants to regroup before heading to the Rivals Five-Star in Indianapolis next week.
"I will not be going this weekend," Spafford said.
"Not really too sure right now. I just can't make it right now with my health. Currently, I'm sick, the Five-Star is coming up right around the corner and I really want to do well at that so I'm not too sure about that but I know I won't be able to make it."
The Mission Viejo, Calif., standout receiver said he informed the Miami coaching staff of his decision on Wednesday and is still just considering all options in his recruitment.
Spafford has already been to Coral Gables, loved his time there and the Hurricanes have been considered to be the biggest threat to flip him from the Bulldogs.
"Just kind of still thinking and talking and going through the process, " Spafford said.
"I'm just thinking. I don't really have much going on.I informed (Miami Wednesday) so still figuring that out and seeing what I want to do with them."
Washington and UCLA have been two other serious contenders in his recruitment and USC has stuck around as well. He committed to Georgia in early November but made it clear throughout his recruitment that other visits would happen.
Spafford has talked very highly of Miami in recent months and after five-star offensive lineman Jackson Cantwell committed recently, the Hurricanes intrigued him even more.
"Miami is coming very hard," Spafford said a few weeks ago. "Coach (Kevin Beard) is incredible. He knows what he's talking about. Coach (Shannon) Dawson is incredible, too, and they're all communicating with me every day and really trying.
Coach (Mario) Cristobal is phenomenal. That guy is great. The commitment with Jackson is big as well. A good o-line for a good quarterback is all I could ever want."
Last weekend, Spafford took his official visit to Georgia. Every indication was that it went well as the Bulldogs' coaches continue to preach about having him as a vital piece in their offense.
"I had a good time at Georgia," Spafford said. "It was fun. The same thing that they always kind of say that they're Georgia and they're the best so that's what they pushed.'
The past 2 YRs WR recruiting, as far as recruiting sites are concerned, has been our 2nd best recruiting position group to EDGE. And it's not particularly close tbh. And our only WR recruit under a 90 rating by the services is Malachi Toney and Upshaw, but Toney appears ready to walk in and start or earn significant rotation at minimum. So yeah it's been very good out of HS past 2 years.Absolute truth, right here.
