Emory is a true freshman and TVD is playing so you can come back from the ledge

The first part of that sentence changes absolutely nothing with his standing in relation to JB.

As for the second part, good to hear. That still doesn't change the fact we need to get Emory as much playing time as possible. Given both what we currently have on the roster and DON'T have in recruiting at the position....he currently represents the future.

It appears to me they used it as an opportunity to find who they can’t trust for when there’s real important information that might need to be withheld for A&M, Clemson, FSU, etc.

Looks like it worked too
I hopefully will see a few people on the unemployment line, assuming these untrustworthy ones were internal people. As far as reporters ago, I‘d have a complete media black out except for post game press conferences. Any media outlet that ran with the alleged some injury without confirming is out of luck for the rest of the season.

They need to learn to play ball with the program or get shut out.

I don’t expect the local to be shills for the program, but I expect them to be supportive to the extent that if asked not to release something, don’t. If this was confirmed dirt on players or coaches that should get them fired or released from the team, that’s one thing. This isn’t a scandal. This is a minor injury from a week or so ago.

I’m tired of these hoes thinking they’re Woodward and Bernstein.

Classic Miami media. Riding a high after landing ZP yesterday and they have to hit us with a cold bucket of water

I mean did they really have to run an op to know they couldn’t trust this guy

There's a reason why most of the folks covering the program have been in the same spot for years. The handful of decent ones that we've had covering the program got out the first chance they got to cover a different program.

Mario came here, saw the cast of losers that covered the program, and locked the deal down like Ft. Knox. If this was Tuscaloosa or Athens, mouthbreathers like Ferman and Barry Jackson would be bagging groceries by tomorrow had they leaked something like this.

I’m no insider, but I’d bet he plays. I mean, they trotted him out there against FSU with the shoulder when he was unplayable. The question is how it will affect him. Speaking from experience, finger injuries are a pain. Broke my thumb years ago and recovery was slow. Less blood flow than other parts of the body.

I think Emory is the guy but I don't’ think the coaches will start a true freshman QB. I’d be shocked if he did not play.
Jacurri is not bad, but his inaccuracy means that we can’t sustain drives so we will need short fields or big plays. We aren’t driving 80 yards 3 times per game with Jacurri at QB unless 1-2 of those drives have a big run or big catch.
Agreed, but JB does brain and add a dimension of what he can do with his legs. He’s the kind of player that could make a house call if he gets in the open field. I assume there are packages in the offense to take advantage of his special skills. I’m not saying he’s Cam Newton or Michael Vick but there are plays they wouldn’t run with TVD or Emory.

I am anticipating a run heavy game plan anyway. I would be surprised if TVD or his back ups threw the ball more than 30 times. I expect them to ‘pound the rock at Hard Rock’, testing that new offensive line and taking advantage of a healthy stable of running backs.

luckily Barry covers more than just canes football since he also covers the heat, fins, marlins, etc. this isnt a college town for Barry where disrespecting a college football team makes a slight difference. there are pro teams to cover vs a college town where the CFB program is treated like a pro team. you wont ever get that here bc its a low level beat compared to covering the fins, heat, etc.

German got nothing else. he built his career off a college team w a smallish fanbase. thats on his dumbass self for never expanding his coverage and connections

Which Mario and the coaches admitted was a mistake. And that game was home against FSU not Miami of Ohio.
