Valentine Visiting?

Too Valentine^^^^ Stop making up BS. you come in and you play to win the game!

"Miami could change some things up, slim down the d-tackles a little bit," Valentine said. "Instead of playing like at 340, 350, I'd prefer to be 310, 315. LSU was telling me*they could see me going down to 310, playing smaller, quicker, making tackles for loss."

The Champagnat assistant said he took Valentine down to UM to sit down and review film with Canes defensive line coach Jethro Franklin.

"He showed him all the film, how they use tackles in multiple ways, not just a nose guard," the Champagnat assistant said. "Golden, [Defensive coordinator Mark] D'Onofrio, Franklin, all of them were telling him he wouldn't have to come in and play heavy, they could make adjustments."

I found this interesting. Valentine is saying that Miami wants him to play at 340, and this assistant is saying that Miami told him that they would make adjustments so that he doesn't have to play heavy.

Also, is the assistant Genron? The article talks about how the assistant took Valentine to UM to review film with the coaches, and we all know that Pete reported that Genron dropped Valentine off in Miami.

Where did he say he is not visiting?

Nowhere. It does seem that Manny Navarro got the no-visit from an assistant this morning: "after receiving a visit from LSU's coaches in his mom's home Wednesday night, the Champagnat assistant coach said Valentine and his mom decided visiting UM -- where he had been so many times unofficially -- wouldn't help the situation. He just needed to get away from it all, the coach said" Obviously, this was not HC Mike Tunsil, probably the DC.

Brandon Odoi also got the same no-visit line yesterday from a source that spoke directly to the principal. Yet, on record, the principal, Valentine, has said earlier Tuesday morning that he was visiting this weekend.

Who is Brandon Odboy?

For what it's worth, Valentine said Tuesday his mother wasn't necessarily pushing him to stay close to home.

"She’s with me anywhere I go," Valentine said. "She’s with me through the long run. It’s not about a staying home situation."

Last time somebody said this was Johnnie Dixon. He's Gone...

Not sure if you're inferring from the above TV quote but Miami never asked him to come in at 340. I haven't read one article that says as much.

Let's try again.

Where did he say he is not visiting?

Great Troll-job/Schtick of all time.

This may not be a popular view on this board, but if I were Valentine I would go to LSU over Miami too. This scheme is not suited to his strength. He is making a business decision. Say what you will about payments and all that jazz, but you can't refute the product that is put on the field between the two teams. Their guys get drafted and make plays, ours play the gaps and make practice squad.

Haven't their DT's busted in the NFL?

Yet another reason why I'm tired of the 3-4 already.

I'm not just tired of Dorito sucking at it, but SFL is built for the 4-3. As has been mentioned thousands of times, square peg in a round hole.

I think our board should stop discussing VT. He's gone; he's a punk-*** *****; and he can kick rocks. It's a huge miss, and a bigger failure not having someone else to take his place, given our depth at DT, but **** it. I'm done talking about this piece of **** kid as if he's already won Lombardi awards and made all-American teams. He can **** off, and I hope he's reading this.

BS.

All LSU had to do was show film of their DT's playing, and our DT's playing. Their gap-rushing versus our stand-and-get-knocked-back.

Kid has eyes. No duffle bag of money. Eyes. He can see we suck. He can see our players are way too heavy and slow.

Film. Comparisons. That's why we can't get a DT for siht.

He wants to play in the NFL, and our DT's never going to do that.
