The LSU smoke started while he was still committed to Miami. I said that earlier. I know he was involved with UF, I never disputed that. But he was still committed to MIami when the LSU stuff started. The FSu stuff I honestly dont remember. But I remember the LSU shenanighans started while he was still committed to Miami. As for Lyles, we are just going to have to agree to disagree. Unless you know who DID pay and handle PP, to me, there is smoke there. Absolute proof? no. But this isnt a court of law, and no one is goign to jail here. this is a recruiting discussion. But Lyles was a street agent and hustler, Lyles was shopping PP, Lyles ends up on the LSU payroll. LSU signs PP. There are PLENTY of people who know that PP got hooked up.

true but that is because they started looking right when miami told him EE was not possible. You are conflating "committment" with some sort of contract or importance of the timeline. Once Miami said EE was very unlikely or not possible he started looking and LSU was always recruiting him anyway, and when they found out about his desire to EE they told him sure no problem. Exactly what the family wanted to hear.

He eventually got around to decommitting from Miami -- but by this point most knew he was gone anyway. Then FSU, UF, and LSU were in the picture --- then just LSU was only option if he wanted to EE. At least the only option of his final 3. Turns out LSU was not an option either since he was still flagged and could not enroll. LSU lied their asses off. Getting caught in the lie and the need to keep the family still satisfied and not look elsewhere mostly likely made that family a lot of money. Like i said, it was after being denied the EE that **** got really sideways. That is when the big money came rolling in.

and I honestly don't know where the Lyle stuff came from. I can only guess the Tamu coach was doing someone a favor and just trying to out lyle.

he isn't connected to PP or, ****, any kids in florida. Kind of weird for a texas street agent to represent a florida kid(s). Plenty guys in sofla to do that, **** plenty in broward alone.

LSU has the benefit of little competition, compared to Miami vs. FSU, UF and the other schools coming into here to poach...

If a kid is an average 3* player in highschool, then they will most likely be average or below average in college regardless of coach, program, etc. LSU is no different than anybody else it's just they get a better selection locally, especially when it comes to big men.

Lol! You must not be from South Florida. My grandson went to prom in a Lambo that was rented and he is far from a superstar athlete. I get where you are going with this but that proves nothing in South Fla when it comes to prom.
 
CANE4LIFE is ruining my recruiting board experience by constantly de-railing. He shows no remorse for his actions. He is not a positive leader.

It's not his fault, but every thread he posts in turns to ****. His posting is causing too much discontent on the boards.

And you know this how? You COULD be right. But we have evidence that Lyles, a street agent and hustler, just like Genron, was shopping PP around for 80K. Lyles ALSO ended up on the LSU payroll. PP ended up signing with LSU. And none of this came out until the TAMU assistant LEFT TAMu and went to Tulane, which is in Lousisiana.

because I have am friends with a ton of people in the deerfield/pompano area. One of my friends is currently coaching at Deerfield. I had friends at various coaching staffs at several broward schools. This **** does not stay quiet. Especially running into them and having bull**** convos over beers and whatnot. This story is particularly interesting especially the 2 or 3 years afterwards. Eventually the pieces are known.

and lyle is not well connected in florida. There is nothing to connect him to PP and I know I asked one person specifically if there were any street agents and the response was simply ya his (PP) father (or stepfather) -- i don't remember which

The father got paid, but that isnt usually the direct link. Usually there are intermediaries where this stuff is negotiated and the "feelers" put out. That is why the Lyles thing is so plausible IMO. Lyles was a hustler. Lyles and PP's father met around some camps and other places. Lyles then starts shopping offers for PP. Lyles ends up on the LSU payroll. PP signs with LSU.

I have a hard time believing that PPs father ran the whole show without a "go between".

I know a booster of our told some of us, including cmar, on signing day that year that Peterson's father sat down with him during a breakfast and said his son want going anywhere until "some green hit his palm." So money played a big role.

I got drunk with a big time UGA booster a few years ago, who had no issues after he got lit blabbing about how much money he and his buddies were dropping to get kids to UGA. Basically said it was a never ending arms race with Tenn, UF, LSU, Bama, and also said Clemson was always trying to buy top GA kids. Every huge program has these guys, but the SEC seems to breed them like no where else. If youve spent time in the South you know EXACTLy what Im talking about. Kind of fat, loud, good old boy, Rolex, polo shirt, the shorts with the boat shoes with no socks. The UGA/UT/BAMA/AU, etc Hat on. Big sunburnt neck and forearms from playing golf all the time. But cats want to act like this is more rare than Haley's Comet.

How about a different take on the coach not wanting to talk about TV. Perhaps he is ****ed because TV has not shut it down and committed to LSU as he desires. Perhaps he is ****ed that TV is going to still take his Miami visit against the coaches wishes. You could take this attitude as a positive for us.

Actually they are dock siders, but Ive heard them called boat shoes.
