Valentine Thread: Set to visit this weekend....maybe.

that is bigconch crap clouding reality. I am telling you what happened, straight from pompano.

Is this big conch too??

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=6275253

The TAMU coach is the one who gave up Lyles. Note towards the bottom how they casually mention how LSU was paying Miles for his "services".

OK and that has nothing to do with PP

Say WHAT??? Lyles was SHOPPING PP for 80K. How does that have "nothing to do with PP".

Again, NOTE who was paying Lyles for his "services".

that was for TEXAS kids

"Willie Lyles, a Texas-based football trainer who is under NCAA investigation after receiving $25,000 from Oregon, told Texas A&M it had to "beat" $80,000 if it wanted to sign star recruit Patrick Peterson in 2007, a former Texas A&M coach told ESPN on Wednesday."

First LINE of the article dude.

Lyle was fired by fishbein and went to work in Texas. He was selling texas kids to LSU.

OH yes good old Fishbein. Another "humanitarian". Is Fish still driving kids up to Tallahassee, buying them meals, paying for their hotels, etc.. out of the goodness of his heart?

ok, cool. So I guess we should take everything in the Yahoo article about miami as fact? C'mon man. Tamu was ****ed that lyle was selling texas kids to LSU but they are not going to burn bridges in the texas HS circuit by outing a texas kid so they throw an big time accusation about a florida kid to get the NCAA to look at the situation. They don't care if the PP stuff is found true or not. Lyle was not connected to the petersons. He works texas, not florida.

this isn't hard dude.

Lyle was not connected to Peterson, he just happened to pick him out of the blue to shop around right? And AMAZINGLY, he also happened to be on the payroll for LSU, who Peterson signed with. Come on man. You are better than this. Is it ABSOLUTE proof? No. But now you are just arguing to argue if you are going to tell me that is not shady as sh*t.

and wasn't this investigated? didn't this end up getting oregon in trouble and nothing tied lyle to the petersons?

Because Oregon was stupid enough to have been cutting official checks to his "scouting service". Do you think whoever paid the Peterson prize cut a check from their official bank account? Come on Token. You know how that game is run. LOL.

Holy ****

This thread is a **** show.

Can we come to an agreement:
- TV is a stud recruit
- There are times stud recruits get paid
- LSU is a school perceived to be shady
- UM is a school who just finished an NCAA investigation for booster issues
- Genron is a street agent
- TV's school burst onto the scene relatively recently, and relatively out of nowhere
- Genron is one of Pete's sources
- Genron posts negative things about Miami on social media
- zone negs posters who aren't Golden haters or Morris slurpers

Miami needs TV big time, and there is a lot of **** going on with this recruitment that would be perceived differently if Genron and LSU were not involved.

wrong.

Peterson tried to get into FSU and UF before ending up at LSU. He could not attend college in this state, his tests were ****ed up....and they still got flagged by the CH when he tried to get into LSU.

Peterson was being shopped. I dont remember anything about FSU. I remember there was briefly talk about TAMU, but that was early on and before I think he even committed to Miami. Peterson was being shopped by Willie Lyles who was "handling" his recruitment. It was TAMU that dropped a dime on Lyles IIRC.

Are you being facetious? PP's name is all over the article. Unless you are referring to another PP.

holy ****.

Lyle and the peterson never did anything together. Nothing. Just because the article says it does not mean they ******* knew eachother. Lyle did not "pick him out of the blue", because lyle never shopped PP. Lyle was shopping Texas kids. Tamu cannot disrupt the delicate texas HS circuit and out kids that are being shopped. Name a big time recruit, throw a **** number on it, and boom you have the NCAA looking at lyle. which is all texas A&M wanted.

The NCAA dug up plenty about lyle -- oregon, Seastrunk, etc. No connections to kids in florida.

Here is what is funny. Ready?

Almost EVERYONE on this board, if pressed will always say "Oh sure it happens". But then when you point out HIGHLY sketchy situations that have red flags all over them that something shady is going on, half the cats in here all say "No way". "There is no proof". "its just an excuse". etc.. etc.. etc.. Despite most acknowledging it DOES happen, WHEN then? WHEN does it happen? Because any time its pointed out, the same people always say "oh its just the same old excuse". But if it IS happening, then where? Apparently UM never loses a recruit to $$ according to some here.

LYLE NEVER WORKED WITH THE PETERSONS

I don't know how else to say it
