QUINTON FLOWERS = LEGEND!
We need to start taking QB's from Miami that are underrated. Eventually one will play up to their potential an we will be rolling!

Saying USF will always be a 2nd tier program is like saying water is wet.
A very naive statement. Need I remind you that up until the Schenellenberger era the same was being said about Miami. With the right coach and AD emphasis the stars could align again for South Florida. There's plenty of talent in the state. While the odds of it happening are pretty small, never say never.

We are not in a position to cast stones about bowl game attendance.
The only thing preventing USF from becoming a first tier program is conference affiliation. If they ever get into a P5, they’ll consistently recruit talent, given the abundance in Florida.
Really? Because a 9-2 Canes team would only sell 1000 tickets of their 10000 ticket allotment to ANY bowl? This constant equivalency people always make to lesser or dirtier programs is tiresome at best.
And USF should NEVER get a major conference invite based on this alone.
Lol. Talk about a false equivalence. 9-2 in the ACC, or any other P5 conference puts the team in a top tier bowl, not some ****ty bowl in a Alabama against 6-6 Texas Tech.
How many UM fans would fly to Alabama two days before Christmas to watch us play a mediocre Big 12 team?
This just highlights that there are too many bowls.

Not saying Miami wins the Clemson game but Clemson were definitely beatable by Miami with a Flowers-type talent. Don’t think the current bowl game changes with the extra win against Pitt and loss to Clemson (though a solid argument could be made for Miami over AL); but the loss to Pitt (and subsequent drubbing by Clemson) did more to open eyes to the weaknesses of the team. I guess we should thank Rosier.QUINTON FLOWERS = LEGEND!

Withhim starting here we beat pitt and wouldnt be in nail biters vs unc. Wouldnt beat Clemson though

I drove my family on thanksgiving night to ***** Pittsburgh.

We sold our ENTIRE allotment within 36 hrs that time we were 7-5 and played another junk 7-5 Notre Dame team on NEW YEARS EVE in freakin' EL PASO- a place notoriously awful and a ***** to fly in and out of. But yeah, keep making excuses why more than 1000 USF fans can't make the DRIVE to their game 2 days BEFORE Christmas for a 9-2 team. Yep. Same as us. Exactly.

Where did you get that info? Hats off to those who travelled to west Texas in 2010 for the snowball debacle. But UM V ND is singular. Hence, two 30 for 30s.
How was our attendance in 2015 at the same bowl game on the day after Christmas against Washington State?
All that said, when did attendance become the barometer of relevance? That’s Gator drivel, not a Cane argument. I walked up to a 1/2 empty Orange Bowl countless times and bought tickets to watch us in our heyday. We were the top of the heap, and it didn’t matter whether the stadium was packed or not.
It’s very shortsighted to assume USF will be irrelevant forever. Again, if they - or UCF - ever get into a P5, they absolutely can be a powerful football program, because of all of the talent in FL. Both UM and FSU were lowly programs before the 1980s.
"2nd tier team" somehow has had a better QB than we do for the past 3 years. GTFO if you think Rosier is anywhere in the same ballpark as him. Dude is electric.

Yeah, and the kid from Bumfuk Wyoming U is better than both. We're talking about programs here not individual players.
I’m not trying to be a homer but F@ck Yeah we beat Clemson with Flowers! Just the fact that with an accurate passer we could have scored on any possession come on now.... our receivers were open plenty vs Clemson! Overthrowning, under throwing and throwing behind our open receivers takes its toll and it’s demoralizing. If he hits Jeff Thomas and ties the ball game at 7 it’s a total different ball game. A missed field goal and another made field goal which could have been 14points with an accurate passer. I’d also like to think that with an accurate passer maybe some of the injuries to some of our players don’t happen, it would have changed everything for us. We’ve been so used to mediocrity that we were greatful to just be undefeated not acknowledging that we had a dead fish as our Qb. I remember fools getting upset if you even misspelled Rosier Our undefeated Qb’s name like he could do no wrong. I’m guilty of it myself but I finally realized it during the UNC game.Honey moon was over it started to smell pretty bad. No one really respected our passing game that’s why so many games were so **** close cause eventually Rosier hit some open receivers and that catch by Langham vs Georgia Tech that luckily bounced off the Tech players helmet Rosier underthrew. Not saying Miami wins the Clemson game but Clemson were definitely beatable by Miami with a Flowers-type talent. Miami with Flowers is Oklahoma with a better defense...potential to hoist the trophy.

Isn't USF like twenty-something years old as a program anyway? Wtf you expect?

What'd I expect? That a school with a student population of 50000 would sell more than 1000 tickets for a bowl game that'd get them to 10 wins. That's all. Especially if I have to hear clowns compare them to actual Power 5 programs like Miami. Think Lebatard and those like him will ever clown them for a garbage level of support as they so nonchalantly compare them to the actual Big 3 in Florida?

People dont go to the Birmingham Bowl cause Birmingham Alabama sucks. Most competent people understand this. Especially 2 days before Christmas. Lol at you caring what Lebatard thinks about anything.
