Yeah but he's the type that wants to succeed at the highest level. He's not the type to stay in college as a lifer. The NFL did come calling already. He’s just making a ton in college so no reason for him to jump yet until he actually wins something here first and then gets the itch to try in the league.
In the NFL he has a cap. In college he doesn’t.
If it was just USC, it would be one thing, but it seems like it's everyone not named Miami/Mario lately. The USC slurping is just old.
What school is next?
We will find another reason to **** on Mario no doubt. Lol. Christ.
Mind you we HAVE TO WIN this year.....no ones disputing it.If it was just USC, it would be one thing, but it seems like it's everyone not named Miami/Mario lately.
Stop it.Welcome to CIS, where praising another program’s coach for inheriting a 4-win team with the 63rd-ranked recruiting class from 2020 (dead last in the PAC-12) and immediately winning 10 games in Year 1 while the 5* QB he landed out of high school follows him to USC and goes on to win the Heisman Trophy is viewed by some as “slurping” instead of acknowledging reality.
Remove the names of the coaches if you’d like. If a Miami coach were to win 10 games with an offense so high-powered that our QB won the Heisman after the last two decades of ineptitude we’ve witnessed, half this board would want a statue of said coach erected in his honor.
It’s perfectly fine to acknowledge results. Wins are awesome. Touchdowns are fun. Hopefully we have a lot more of both after last season’s ****show.
Lmao they’re not going to lose because of a culture problem.. they have many mercenaries but if they have a common goal that **** don’t matter. Miami has a bigger culture problem than any other big time team right now so we have no room to talk smh. They’ll drop a game because they get outcoached and outplayed. That happened at Clemson for years (including last year) even though in your own words “They have maintained the best lockeroom and culture in America for the last 8-9 years”Meh. They're taking short cuts bringing in anything and everything from the portal. Totally ignoring culture and work ethic. Not trying to go full Mario bro here but it's the reality and there is a valid reason why the only programs to win championships in recent memory are Saban, Saban's disciple Kirby, and Dabo who has maintained the best locker room and culture in America for the last 8-9 years. Then obviously Orgeron with the most talented team in college football since the 2001 Canes.
That being said.. USC could sneak in this year, if there ever was a chance that formula will work. Heisman/Number 1 overall QB, dynamic offense, mediocre defense - but only because Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio State are going to be the weakest at QB they've been, individually and collectively, in the last 10 years. Still bet they choke because of the lack of culture.. just depends when/where they choke because the playoff gives you a 2nd chance now.
USC will never win anything that matters as long as Lincoln Riley is their head coach.
I’d much rather be Miami than USC right now.
I was referring to results. I was more less responding to this statement:
“Yes, we can question Mario, true....but Lincoln Riley is "it"?
I like Riley, but his teams at OU went 0-4 in the CFBPO and gave up an average of 50.....that's 5-0...points per game.”
So my post was in regards to which results would u prefer over the past 6 yrs? In essence, I was comparing coaches, programs, results during this time frame.
What I find hilarious is that this same board that hailed & vouch for the Pirate to come here (RIP) who was all offense & no defense, are the same ones taking shots at Riley. Lol. Yet, Riley has won at an elite clip, sans the big one. It’s why I have him in that 2nd tier of coaches, but him + USC will be a problem. 3 of the top 5 programs in the nation are all within a a car drive away (St Bosco, Mater Dei, & Bishop Gorman).
Will they will a title under Riley? Not sure; will they most likely always be in contention? Yes.
The username and title

Facts. Riley is CLEARLY a better coach. And it's perfectly fine to say that lol.If you give Mario and Riley the same exact roster, Riley will have a better record 10 out of 10 years. He is a better coach. There’s nothing you can argue. Mario has my support fully as I think he can be somewhat successful here but you are lying to yourself if you don’t think Miami would be better off with Riley long term.
