each air raid disciple is different. leach/harell don't run much. but yost does, so does riley and any disciple of art briles uses run also. the sooners run a version of the air raid with power principles due to their strong oline. it all depends on the guy running and calling plays.

also their are different types of spread. when at florida urban meyer ran a spread option that used a lot of sweeps and outside runs. when got to osu saw all the oline talent he added some pro style runs to his spread option with power traps and counters. Clemson runs a spread but uses the run. some spread offenses are more run oriented and some are balanced and some are more pass heavy but spread offenses in general don't follow one line of how to do things. just like a pro style not every pro style is the same. well not every spread or air raid is the same either.

He’s a good coach who does less with more. However, that offense runs because of a great OL.
The sign of a veteran, very good coach. Here’s the thing, Iowa has an identity. Ferentz knows his limitations in recruiting, however he focused on coaching and developing solid OL and TE’s. Every year you know what to expect from a Ferentz coached team. And on D they are tough.

I’d take Ferentz over the crap Miami has put out - Shannon, Golden, Richt and now Diaz any Saturday of the month and any month of the year for the past 14 years!

Fire Blake James and get someone down to Miami that actually knows football. As it stands, it’s a bunch of idiots leading the herd to a slaughter house.
